Andrea Ekeng Inyang, the Special Assistant to the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, on Strategic Communication, has accused enrollment centres in Calabar of extorting National Identification Number applicants. "NIN registration centers in Calabar are charging N2,000 each per registration. 100 registration a day is N200,000 Thieves!" he stated on Tuesday, January 5. This is coming barely 24 hours after the Federal Government suspended workers fingered in extortion at enrolment centres of the National Identity Management Commission.
