now imagine the private sector where any wealthy individual can hire who they want...

any wealthy private business person from an ethnicity moves into a state with huge population will hire and bring people from mainly his/her ethnicity and religion...

that's one of the reasons you go to some private companies and you see one ethinicity been dominant.. its because they are the same ethnicity as the owner of the company..

e.g. Lagos is a state in the Yoruba region but it has many non-yorubas, some of this non-yorubas own companies and they hire maybe one or two yorubas but the majority of the company employees are the same ethnicity as the owner and this indirectly increases the poverty the yorubas will experience and since everyone is a Nigerian the Yorubas cannot complain....

Yoruba owned companies will mostly hire yorubas, fulani owned companies will mostly hire fulani e.t.c

...as well as the average Nigerian on the street. That is why when accessing candidates we first ask for their ethnic and religious backgrounds first before competence. And until we eliminate these two, we would continue to elect in competent leaders and continue to suffer the consequences.
