Off course bro. .. na to japa if naija ain't working for your personal circumstances.

Bear in mind that some people have it all in Nigeria and those types don't need abroad , hence migration is a consequence of economics, good economics provides good quality of life and vice versa.

In addition, abroad can cap your potential but you'll achieve the quality of life you want , which comes at a cost.. very big cost.

That was the point all along!

netmillionaires:
One of the most annoying thing about Nigeria is that ones money keeps losing value at an exponential rate. Imagine working for five years to gather #10 million only to realize after five years that the money is now worth half its price. A poor citizen who needed $15,000 to migrate abroad would need to save #2,550,000. After spending five years to gather the money, he then realize that he would need #5,250,000 for the same $15,000. What changed? Inflation! A mismanaged economy.

Happened to my friend who recently received ITA to apply for Canadian permanent residence. The naira devaluation made him short of the minimum financial threshold required in his account and has been scrambling for the last two months trying to raise N2milllion before the invitation to apply expires. He had saved diligently over the years too.

Yes, oyibo have theirs but use it to upgrade themselves and develop their countries. Nigerians use theirs to destroy others.

As for dying from spiritual attacks, well...those who died ain't alive to tell their stories. Just pray you don't end up like them.
An Eastern European was attacking an Asian co-worker of mine spiritually who started falling sick over a period of time. It was another co-worker that was versed in the occult that migrated from Italy that told her it was the Eastern European woman that was responsible for her prolonged sickness that required her to take time off. She later left the company when her contract was not renewed and ever since she left, by Asian co-worker never fell sick.

Nigeria is not the only country where spiritual attacks occur. Many immigrants that migrate to Canada also come from countries rife with occultism.

The high successes recorded by dubious politicians, fraudulent pastors and ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria are living proofs that Nigerians can be so gullible. We can easily be deceived. The astronomical hype on Canada is the latest deceit in town. Here are things you need to know before immigrating.

1. The list of richest Nigerians is filled with Nigerians living at home. You're more likely to make it into Forbes if you live in Nigeria. At least that's what the stat shows, whether people making into Forbes in Nigeria are engaging in corrupt practices is a story for another day. The odds of becoming a dollar billionaire favours those at home . No Diaspora Nigerian has ever made it into Forbes billionaire list.

2. There are more money to be made in a developing economy than in a developed economy. That's why as you're rushing out of the country, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are rushing in. Only few will understand. You're sitting on the biggest market in Africa yet you haven't realize this but the Lebanese and the Indians knew this.

3. If you are the type who don't fancy working for others, it's much more easier to own a business in Nigeria than in Canada/US. Western countries were set up for the 99% populace to work for 1% elites. Their education systems were designed to produce workforce for the rat race. Not to create employers of labour.

4. It's stupidity to resign from a high-paying job in Nigeria in a bid to relocate to Canada/US. Your eyes will get clear up when you start facing the hard realities in Canada. Those who had made this mistake in the past are ashamed to come on social media to talk about it. The ones talking on Twitter are 'freshers' who just arrived.

5. If you want to secure 2nd passport for your kids, you don't necessarily need to immigrate to achieve this. There are other ways, one method is overseas child birth.

6. You're 5x more likely to be shot and rubbed in New York than in Lagos. Poor neighborhoods all over the world has more crime rates. The thing is, when you finally made it in Nigeria, you can move to high brow areas with lesser crime.

7. Nigerians are spending up to 8millions ($21k) and above to immigrate to Canada/US whereas an average canadian or American citizen can't boast of $10k in their bank A/C's. They live pay check to pay check.

8. Some Nigerians claims that they ain't relocating because of the money but because of good infrastructure, good health care system, value for their money etc. That's a lie! 98% of Nigerians who're eager to travel out are relocating because of economic reasons. There are good infrastructure, good health care system and value for money in countries like Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, South Korea, Chile etc but Nigerians ain't trooping there, indicating that their preference for Canada/US is purely based on economic reasons.

9. It's cheaper to live in Nigeria. Canada/US promises higher minimum wage but the system will still take it away from you. It's like giving you with one hand and taking from you with another. $2k (N760k) will pay for your one year rent of 2 bedrooms apartment in a good location in Nigeria but same amount will only fetch you one month rent of a match box apartment in Canada/US.

10. This is not to stop you from traveling out but to inform you on the true realities. Economic immigration should be left for lower or working class who're struggling or to young lads who wants to school abroad and thereafter further their career overseas. Not to deceive Nigerians already earning good in corporate offices in Nigeria to resign and relocate where they will be employed as security guards or to deceive business owners who's businesses are thriving in Nigeria to close down business and relocate. Don't let them deceive you with the hype. Money don't grow on trees anywhere in the world.
With this foolish write up, u need a serious brain check. comparing an organized society with set of criminal minded leaders in power killing their innocent civilians on daily basis, looting the treasury continuously without the masses mercy.

Lol. I find this very interesting. I'm also glad to know that you ain't one of the 'nay sayers' and you're aware that such powers actually exists.

But regardless, you should also know that such occurrences can't be completely ruled out among the whites, but it isn't that rampant as it is in Nigeria and among Africans.

I have been doing some research and have come to realize that you could have some 'powers', but may decide not to use it for something evil. Your white colleague must be one out of a million white people who has decided to use her powers for evil deeds.

I guess you're more educated than Wole Soyinka and other white men who are great mystics. You're supposedly 'educated', and you think education is about studying maths and English in school.

Dude, even the bible made us believe that witchcraft practices exists, so I wonder what the heck you're blabbing about.

Again, constructive criticism from someone who wants to see you do better.
Part of the problem may be the cartoon you used to cover your face thereby depriving us of seeing any human expressions attached to the words you speak.

For travel plan like this, saving in a dollar dorm account is the best. So that if the naira depreciates, it won't affect his fund.

Since there is an age issue, it is very difficult for the typical Nigerian manager or director who is way over 30 years old to scale the Express Entry process. Most of the people that succeed are usually not on the management or director cadre.

And a lot of people really don't mind that. Since being in a mid-level position puts you in a comfortable position, some people gladly accept that as the price to pay to live in a good country like Canada (or Germany).

RuudVanNisteroy:

The only issue is some of them might have been managers and directors in Nigeria. When they come here they have to start from mid-level positions and only a small percentage will likely end up getting to the top of their professions and get to management level.

Not totally true, a lot even with their age left managerial level jobs in Nigeria and started in same level some even more than same level with better pay and quality of life. Age is not a criteria for employment in that part of the world, reason you see someone of age above 45yrs needing a career switching going back to college because he or she knows he would be placed on same employment opportunity scale with someone younger and whoever performs better gets hired unlike Nigeria.

When you are over 30 years, you start to lose points in the Express Entry system every year and the maximum points for work experience is 3 years, even if you have 10 years experience, you still get the same points as someone with 3 years experience. This is why it is more difficult for a 45 year old to scale the process.

And except they were IT workers or they were working for a multinational company, they wouldn't have started on the same level when they got to Canada, this is because Canadian employers place a huge priority on Canadian work experience.

Most Nigerians that have decided to stay back don't have the means to immigrate to a better country (like Canada). IELTS, TEF, CIMA etc all these are exams that you would have to pass, to get enough points. You also need proof of funds (CAD$12, 000), how many Nigerians have that kind of money?

The truth is the process is difficult to scale and that is why most Nigerians aren't interested, it is NOT out of patriotism or courage that they are staying back, they just accept their fate and try to get "rich" and later on go abroad on tourist or visitor's visa.

Another truth is that Nigeria is not a great place to live at the moment, unless we get a radical and intelligent president (like Singapore had in her early years as a new country), things wouldn't improve for the common man.

humilitypays:
And I still insist, we should not make it look like those Nigerians that stayed back in Nigeria are fools......because in the real sense, they are the heroes.

It takes a courageous heart to remain in a place that needs fixing or to stay with someone in his or her time of trouble.....the faint hearted run away at the slightest fear.

Leaving Nigeria for abroad does not make anyone doing it a better person.....its just a decision. No matter how bad we paint Nigeria or how bad Nigeria becomes, some people, in fact a lot of people must stay back. If 30% of Nigerians make attempt to leave Nigeria to other countries, many countries will start repatriating Nigerians in their countries back to Nigeria irrespective of your residential status.....citizenship can be revoked so long as its not by birth and by indigenous parents

Canadian Work experience relatively in Canada does not mean number of years worked, soft skills that we naturally do not have in Nigeria is what Canada see as such which includes but not limited to work culture, work environment ethics and lot more, time management etc.

Age is not a criteria for employment in that part of the world, reason you see someone of age above 45yrs needing a career switching going back to college because he or she knows he would be placed on same employment opportunity scale with someone younger and whoever performs better gets hired unlike Nigeria
