Ohaneze needs to reinvent itself by moving away from political partisanship and focusing on development. Never again should Ohaneze corporately choose a presidential candidate. Since, all parties have Igbo as members, give audience to every presidential candidate to present his plans for SE region and then allow people to make their choice.

The new President, Prof George Obiozor, needs to spearhead the setting up of an Ohaneze Think Tank - an intellectual arm - to research on ways of strategically advancing the political, economic and social interests of Igbo race nationally and globally.

There is no reasons why South East States shouldn't have high-brow estates and world-class Industrial Estates to encourage the "aku luo uno" philosophy to develop Igbo land economically.

Furthermore, apart from the above-mentioned strategic thinktank and already existing committees, Ohaneze also needs to create more standing committees to involve YOUNG Igbo people in its affairs. Such committees will cover areas like Economic Development, Youth Development, Education/Students' Affairs, Sports Development, Diaspora Relations, Reconciliation, Inter-ethnic Relations, Intra-constituents (Nsukka, Ikwerre, Anioma, Aros, Abakiliki, etc.) Relations, Igbo language and Culture Promotion, etc.

Bottomline is that Ohaneze needs to be more responsive, more responsible and relevant to the life an average Igbo person. Simple!

Mazi, you have spoken (typed) very well.

Don’t know if I should stick with IPOB, Ohaneze Ndigbo or Massob..

I’ve never been confused like this all my life before.
You can stick with OPC, Afenifere, amotekun or even oduduwa republic. Okpo!

Ohaneze is a toothless organisation. Even tissue paper is more useful and purposeful than ohaneze. Bunch of corrupt morons who formed an organisation which they use to solicit contracts and favour. How do you think these idiots who are contractors really speak for lgbos. Lf they were useful, kanu and his ipob will not have arisen in the first place but because they jump from govt house to govt house seeking transport money in millions and contracts no one takes them serious

The system used was OPTION A4 introduced in 1993 Presidential Election
The openness and fairness of the system is needed to bring sanity to our electoral system in Nigeria
