Know this and know peace, In the game of politics, every step you take is crucial,it either increases you by some notch or brings you Down
For years, Students have always had ASUU'S back, its always the government that's the problem, we know that, but last year, most people were doubtful, the strike held on for long, most felt that it was worth it, few others felt that it was not, but then, even when a whole years rent was wasting, students still had ASUU'S back.
So finally, there was some form of reprieve, some middle ground was reached, and the government said it to all and sundry that it had kept its end of the bargain, Truth is, the deal was not as easy as the government made it look, ASUU knew they were being set, they dragged their feet but still moved on towards the trap.
The National University Commission then did set up reopening dates, ASUU were like, you guys don't have the power, they were moving closer into the trap, they had no idea, students were itching to go back to school, most were indecisive on whether to pay rent or pack out, others were thinking about how they will be quoting or keeping the job they had during the long break.
And then ASUU met, prolly in a hall with no sufficient social distancing, et all, and came out to tell the students who were already on edge "see guys, you can't go back to school, you see this second wave of corona, we won't risk that stuf" and the govt sprang the track, they got as much tabloids to carry it as much as possibly, the message was clear... "This guys are the enemies and not us" and the rampaging fingers itching students were all lined up, to shoot at ASUU and all they've stood for..

It was the same thing that happened, with the #Endsars. The govt was like, you have this freedom to protest, and then they set up some traps, instigated, they "allegedly" had some hoodlums to spring the trap and make the protest violent, and then they setup curfew, soldiers came, people died, the country burned, and the govt were like "see, they are your enemies, not us" and now any attempt for a renewed protest, won't be attacked by the govt, but will be shutdown by the people whose lives were made unbearable by the carnage that the last one came with.

Now if ASUU has a legit reason to go on strike tomorrow, most people that supported them before will be like, "those greedy guys are out for their pocket..
If youths should have very pressing reasons to go into the streets to protest, most people will say " you guys have started again, the damage you did the first time is not enough, abi"..
And the govt will just be folding its hands and smiling.

You see the politics world, is a big chessboard out there, the Democrats saw that the inciting that Trump did, will leas to violence and possible death, they left Trump and gave him enough rope to hang himself, the moment his head was in the noose, the kicked the stool out and left him out to dry.
When playing this game called politics, don't move however you want, you will be knocked out and not have opportunity to try again. the other side is calculating every move you make and making the best use of your mistakes, you might as well stop giving things to "fate" to control, and state making every move you make to have an end in view.

The world as Shakespeare said is a stage 'you make a wrong act, and you sometimes never get an opportunity to recast your role... You might as well stay backstage and master the plot, before you get called to take the stage..
