First, the recent embarrassing events at US Capitol is a proof that certain political events in Africa don't happen because Africans have inferior brain but because most African leaders usually corner their countries' security system and compromise the leaders of judiciary and legislature.

The truth is if Trump had the FBI and military on his side, the story would have been different today.

Second, if #EndSars protesters had invaded the National Assembly and vandalized it, the US officials would have insisted that the protesters must not be pushed back with force but through negotiations. And when force is applied with fatality like it happened in Capitol, sanctions will be threatened and ICJ and Amnesty International would be releasing indicting statements.

The irony in all of these is that racist Trump ended up showing that Caucasians are not superior race but they excelled simply because of some sane patriotic leaders.
point of correction before u spread fake news...the casualties at the capitol assault were 4..one was fatally shot and was taken to the hospital..we didn't hear the security agents tried to block the ambulance and the other 3 were as a result of trauma or shock from the protest due to there health conditions... we all watched it live on TV, we saw policemen in full riot gear, we didn't hear sporadic shooting...ambulances were there to move injured people to hospitals due the were breaking glasses and other stuffs...tell me if this can ever play out in Nigeria...

Eya ... see a pained Trump fan. No political party has absolute unity among all its members ... in any democratic country.

U know republicans are more united. Far left caged Obama and now what to do same to Biden. It will be another internal tussle. I’m sure u already know this.

do u realize since over 200 years that was the first time the capitol had been assaulted...and yes I would have said it can Neva happen because the have maintained standards for decades and wow u saw the way there institutions responded...which can not be said for us, and above all do u know why the outrage is so high because for them this is an anomaly but for us....we are used to seeing this kind of madness..

Correct .... his gross incompetence in handling Covid cost him votes among swing voters and some republicans... Arizona republicans also did not like his treatment of McCain and voted against him.
Covid was the biggest issue of 2020 and if Trump just took it half seriously he would have easily won, instead it really exposed his incompetence as a leader for all issues.

I wish I can like this post 1000 times. Trump has shown that Africans and blacks in general are not inferior to whites or Asians. The problems are institutional checks and balances. Even though Trump appointed judges, their salaries and renumerations does not depend on him. So they do not need to dance to his tune. Even though Trump is commander in chief of the armed forces, the military is not obliged to obey unlawful order from Trump. Same with the justice department and FBI, they won't take illegal orders from Trump's to arrest or eliminate opponents.

African institutions were build to protect and perpetuate those in power and and not to be responsible to the people. We need to knock down those colonial political and civil structures and erect new ones that is responsive to the people rather than the leaders.

You captured it well. Our institutions and key laws are still suffering from colonialism hangover. Originally made to protect the interests of the colonialist against the people and now protecting Nigerians in authority, no matter how visionless they are, against the people.

Things need to change but "how" is the problem.
