Everything is now news in Nigeria. Ordinary government responsibility to the citizens is news. Many private transports has been running this service for a long time.

The children doomed with hatred bitterness n foolishness 'lost jews form hellfire' from the land where the sun will never arise will be wailing in agony pain sorrow n destruction on sighting this news.

Nothing to hate. This shouldn't be news to celebrate. Unless you personally have never used such service in your life. Our government have denied many things from us that things like this excites us.

This is a simple thing that should have been done from the outset. It really irritates, when FG comes out and makes it seem like an achievement and the people are being done a favour.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation has commenced test-bookings on the NRC E-ticketing platform, starting with the Abuja-Kaduna rail line. Next week, the corporation will launch fully. Check it out and book your tickets at https://nrc.tps.ng/

Good but wrong domain name to use....fraudsters will start coming up with different variations of the domain.

A Simple: NRC.ng would have been better

Overdue. But all the same kudos.

Next is to put in motion structures for private participation. Government can concentrate on providing the tracks/lines for now while reputable firms invest in the operations.

Wait Ooh, so it has been paper/offline booking all this while?

Damn! WTF is wrong with this people.

Bus companies have been booking online for years.

Online booking should be for all stations. This will save stress and money.

I would observe first. There will be sabotage on the system, how NRC is able to handle that will determine whether this will work or not.

Workers welfare is very very important, new salary structure should be introduced to this sector because RAILWAY staff take home is not enough to take them home.

Please, government should increase their salary.

Can this create jobs for ticketers?

Like can we have agents who can help people book their ticket for them just like we have for airlines?
