*AGULERI- UMULERI PEACE COMMITTEE: IGWE OGBUNKA, HRH AMB JOHNMARK ANYAOHA COMMENDS OBIANO, SECURITY AGENCIES.*


*The Traditional Ruler of Ogbunka in Orumba South Local Government of Anambra State has commended His Excellency Chief Sir Willie Obiano,The Executive Governor of Anambra State for his prompt response and intervention in the crisis that erupted between Aguleri and Umuleri Communities.*



Recall, that a boundary crisis erupted last week between Umuleri and Aguleri Communities, unfortunately for the opposition and those who deride in seeing Anambra State in negative limelight, The Governor with the support of security agencies were able to quell the crisis and forestall the destruction of lives and properties.



His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra State aside mobilising security agencies to the locus inqou, he has gone ahead to set up a Committee to look into the boundary dispute.

The Committee’s Terms of Reference Are:

(1) To establish the immediate cause of the dispute between the two communities, that occurred on Saturday, 16th January,2021.

(2) Invite and interview the families that own the lands in dispute.

(3) Establish the boundaries between Aguleri and Umuleri as a whole.

(4) Recommend other possible solutions that will guarantee lasting peace in the area.

(5) The committee has were given 3 weeks to conclude its assignment.

(4) Hon. Bonaventure Enemali, Commissioner for Lands
(5) Barrister Chike Maduekwe, Chairman, Anambra State Physical Planning Board
(6)Chinedu Aniagboso, Chief Security Officer to the Governor
(7) Chief Ajoku, Retired Survey General
( Ezeudo Dr. Michael Idigo, Eze Aguleri
(9) Okebo Ben Emeka, Igwe Umuleri
(10) President General of Aguleri
(12) President General of Umuleri
(13) Youth Leader of Aguleri
(14) Youth Leader of Umuleri
(15) Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area



HRH Igwe Amb Johnmark Anyaoha expressed optimism that the committee will provide a lasting solution to the crisis.



He further appealed to the warring Communities to give peace a chance as no meaningful Development can take place without peace and Security.
