As the clamour for presidency to return to the South in 2023 continues to reverberate across the country, some stakeholders have opined that the ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may be frustrated just like that of M.K.O Abiola in 1993, if Yoruba people continue to speak in discordant tunes.

The feeling was expressed yesterday at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, venue of the 2021 Pan-Yoruba Summit themed “Yoruba Nation: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.”

The summit was organised by the Yoruba Patriots Movement (YPM) led by Chief Oladosu Oladipo. In attendance were some dignitaries including the Lagos State Governor Babatunde Sanwo Olu, who was represented by Engr. Adekunle Olayinka (Special Adviser on South West Affairs); Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, who was also represented by Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Obawale Adebisi.

Others included Chairman and Deputy of the South West Agenda ’23 (SWAGA), Senator Dayo Adeyeye and Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi as well as Hon. Bosun Ladele, and former Commissioner for Health in Oyo State, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan.

The royal father in attendance was the Alaafin of Oyo His Imperial Majesty Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111, who was represented by Prince Dr. Totoola Adeyemi. Others included former President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Chief Bayo Oyero, Prof. AdegbengaOnabamiro, Alhaja Iswat Abiola Ameringun (Italoja of Ibadan), Chief Folasade Ojo Tinubu, ex-InspectorGeneralof PoliceTafa Balogun, Dr. Stella Al-Hassan fromTexasinAmerica, Chief ToyinAdeleke, among others.

While the convener of the summit, Oladosu Oladipo through his Next-Level Consolidation Forum advocated apparently for the election of Tinubu in 2023, stressing that “Yoruba planted in 2015 by installing President Muhammadu Buhari” and that the North must give back to us in 2023,” the CCII ex-President said that if Tinubu would emerge as president in 2023, it was the Yoruba that will determine it. He said: “Yoruba are not united. Unless we are united, we would give away our chance again like we did in1993.

Only thing uniting these people is the hate for igbos.

Get igbos out of the equation and they’ll be at each other’s throats..

Why do you think they’re against igbo secession?

A good product is a good product while a bad product remains a bad hence unmarketable product.Late Chief MKO Abiola was a good product back then hence we marketed him upon which the Nigerian electorate over-whelmingly voted for him though the military sadly never allowed him exercise the mandate.

For betraying Abiola by secreting frolicking with Abacha in a regime wherein the present calamity and catastrophe he foist upon the nation was part of; whereìn regions are now forming security outfits to protect themselves from the atrocities of the president's feudal brothers is enough reason to refuse such a person.

For always speaking in defense of same marauders esp.during the assassination of Pa Fasoranti's daughter wherein he insulted the sensibility of Nigerians with the silly "where are the cows" narrative even when investigation later tied the murder to same herders makes him an unfit president that can protect his people let alone the nation.

What about his statement during the gory #EndSARS incident, the embarrassing bullion vans saga, insult to the SW traditional leaders in the past?

How can you sell bad market, it is not disunity, it is purely bad market, because Nigeria will move from frying pan to fire.

Government of I don't care what the masses feel or face is a bad market that must not be supported by sensible people.

Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Tinubu is selfish, greedy and self-centered... We will never let such human pilot our destinies.

There are better young qualified Nigerians out there.

Any youruba sons and daughter discussing or plotting Tinubu presidency for 2023 should be seen as unpatriotic.

It is insane for anyone to be campaigning for a clueless, coward and parasitic fellow like Tinubu who's only benefit to Yoruba is producing timid and selfish folks in Buhari's presidency who cannot rise and defend their people when needed.

I'm yet to see a single Tinubu guy who speak against the ethnic cleansing, carnage and criminalities of these Fulani bandits in South West.

A true and sincere leader will defy the odds and defend the interest of his people. This shows that Tinubu is only thirsty for power and not necessarily to bring the desired change to the system.

We can only read his saltless leadership style with his grave yard silence on the incessant killings, rape and kidnappings by the Fulanis in SW

Lol... Trust Yorubas with the Presidency? After the EndSars protests they sponsored and now this unlawful eviction? NEVER! We will rather give the Presidency to the corpse of Adolf Hitler!

It's better the Igbos rule Nigeria forever than for the Yorubas to rule for 5 minutes!

Nonsense!

In Oyo state, one man, Sunday Igboho, is marking & tackling the Fulani herdsmen, but I am yet to see Yoruba intellectuals bash him & remind of how he is beatng drums of war. I am yet to hear anyone remind him Nigerians deserve to live anywhere. I will keep pointing it out.

If this was done by igbos ,hope they won’t betray us here

Someone should analyze this hypocrisy
