These are mistakes a lot of people make nowadays.
When you ask about the reason why they are getting married to this person,all they could say is she is beautiful,her beauty is like a bunch of rose,etc..they have forgotten that beauty fades.
So once the beauty starts fading,the rate of likeness which they have for the woman or man would decrease.
Never marry someone just because of beauty alone,what else does the person gat which interest you apart from his or her physical appearance.
Never marry for shapes and money as well ..
These are just the candid truth.

But what has this to do with anything Jesus Christ actually said or commanded of His followers (I assume you see yourself a Christian, right?).

Did Jesus Christ send His followers out to teach a different gospel other than the one He spent His final 3 years, or so, teaching them?

Did Jesus Christ state that the Holy Spirit, our one and only counselor, would make us counselors to His followers as well? Or am I missing something here with all these folks setting themselves up as teachers of foreign doctrines and advisers on issues that Jesus Christ did not touch on, making up rules/traditions they broadcast in the name of God?

Aye, relationship with God comes first, as He truly is the Center, the focal point with everything else in life receiving its meaning and direction from that vital Center.

When all is done and dusted, relationship, when and after the dust settles, with faith, hope and love, outlives everything and remains (i.e. 1 Corinthians 13:13)

Notice that it's from "It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him" that its observed that relationship is the mother of companionship. Marriage, is a training ground, so with, to perfect relationship skills in, lmso. It isnt easy being married, and so why, marriage isnt necessarily for everyone, lmso.
