Nigeria’s unity may become extinct if nothing is done about the current state of the nation. Barr. Olusegun Bamgbose, A chieftain of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, said this.

After an exit notice issued by a Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, to the Fulani group, the senior lawyer referred to the crisis in the South West.

Bamgbose says recent events have shown that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari can no longer guarantee the protection of lives and property.

Bamgbose says one cannot but agree with the submission of the former INEC boss.

“The current situation in our country is becoming unbecoming and except we handle the situation, with extreme caution, our unity may become history,” the senior lawyer said this.

Therefore, the tension brewing in the South West as per the quit notice given to the Fulani herdsmen by Sunday Igboho is an eye-opener that our President has lost control of the government.
