The President of Nigeria, General mohammadu Buhari has sacked his service chiefs today, 26th January 2021.



The information which was released few minutes ago by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the president, Mr. Femi Adesina, stated that the president has named his replacement for the outcome service chiefs.



In his text, he name the following names as replacement for the service chiefs: Maj Gen LEO Irabor, Chief of Defense Staff, Maj Gen I Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff, Rear Adm AZ Gambo, Chief of Navy staff, AVM IO Amao, Air Force. According to him, the President congratulates the new service Chiefs, while thanking the former ones for their commitment they put up during their active service.



It could be recalled that sometime in 2019, the National Assembly had called on President Buhari to sack his service chiefs over their inability to curtail insurgency in the country. With this sack, one would be made to believe President Buhari is all out to end insurgency in Nigeria in no time.
