This second wave is more deadly than the first.... The victims don't even have time to say their last prayers unlike before.

Sad thing is that, it is only wiping out relevant people from our country while Irrelevant people like the marauding Fulani herdsmen and one cow lover from daura walks freely without contacting it.

Sleep well sir, may God give your family the fortitude to bear the loss.

It is killing low profile people also. They die and maleria, cough, pneumonia, diabetes, spiritual attack, witches etc are blamed. Most just take it as normal occurrence and bury their dead. In my my estate alone between lock down last year and now so many elderly folks have died of what is termed normal causes. The strange thing is that did they all have a meeting to jointly die in the past year?
The high profile folks are popular people so it is noticed when they die of covid.

I’m just shocked that there are so many unfit individuals in this country. Walk everywhere you go, una no go hear. Personally, I like COVID-19, it is wiping out the genetically weak amongst us. Can you imagine there are Nigerians who have never done any form of physical labour throughout their lives? These individuals justify their laziness by saying one should conserve the body by avoiding all forms of labour. To wash cloth sef, them no sabi.

The way things are going...a lockdown might be in order.

Now, for me, I think we don't need lockdowns. Most people who catch covid will survive. But the minority who will fall seriously ill have the potential to overwhelm our already bad health care sector....

All in all, wash hands, wear a mask, social distancing...maybe we won't get to lockdown part 2 .

No there will not be lockdown. Buhari has signed a law for the compulsory use of facemask. Except cases become like that of US, there will be no lockdown.

Is it because covid-19 is real you are carrying this story, shame on you the writer and editor. Kindly tell us more about the pre existing sickness of the CP of police. There is covid-19 yes cz but it trives better on pre existing sickness in the body of the invectee.

You don't need to terrorise the populace with covid-19 covid-19 which we know is more medical politics than the actual sickness.

From the foregoing, we might need a short lock down to contain the spread before face masking can begin to have any serious effect. Social distancing is key and I'm afraid face making is only a small part of it.

It's just like HIV, it does not kill by itself it only weakens your immune system to the point of even a common cold or cough can finish you, this is when it becomes AIDS. 90% of Nigerians suffer from one ailment or another but because it is dormant, most of us will never know, a catalyst like Covid can activate it especially if you are afraid of medical checkups and rely on agbo as your only remedy grin grin
