Honestly, one happened last week at ayobo and the killer entered with the girl inside her room within the hotel and the fucking DJ was playing so loud even when the poor girl was screaming no one could hear her.
She was beheaded and her breast were clipped. If there was CCTV camera was installed at least at the hallway, it would've been easy to see the last person that left her room

Do not keep quiet on this issue. This is very illegal and should be reported to the highest authorities. Those videos might as well be on pornhub as we speak. And SUE their ass to thy kingdom come. It is obviously the policy of the hotel so those cameras are in every room in that hotel. Raise the awareness and get that place shut down so others will learn and desist from continuing the trend.

Considering the security situations in our country, I'll support this, not withstanding that the hotel will also take full responsibility for any leak of customers privacy into the public space in the cause of doing business with them.

There reason for this is cuz of some killings thats been reported in Nigeria in recent times.

However, In the absence of that. Hotels use the footage to blackmail customers when you come in with your spouse.

Privacy is at the top of the reasons hotels exist so I cannot understand stupid talk of pros and cons. If I didn't consider privacy important I might as well sleep on the streets. It is a terrible breach of trust to place recording devices, not just visual but audio recorders in guest rooms. And it borders on security of the patrons.

There is absolutely NO CONSIDERATION for this. If you can accept this you can accept government putting monitoring devices in your homes, in your offices and anywhere you consider a private space. Because by your logic a whole lot more people comit crimes in homes, offices and other personal properties than occur in hotels.

Only a judge can permit the infringment of your privacy without your consent and this has to be because the authorities (not even private individuals) have you on surveillance for reasons of PROVEN criminality not even suspicion. Spying is not even the first tool of law enforcement. No sane society will accept that.

They should be called out and complaints made to the police to start an investigation into whether a blackmail racket is ongoing.They should also be flagged on all tourist brochures and travel and leisure websites to send a message to the industry that it is not acceptable. 1. Turn off the light in your room to make everywhere as dark as possible.

2. Activate your phone camera (without flash) and point towards the area you suspect a hidden camera is sited
