Update on Sheikh AbdulJabbar Kabara

I just received a Press Statement signed by Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State and dated Sunday, 7th February, 2021, Titled: "Gov Ganduje Accepts Dialogue Between AbdulJabbar And Other Scholars".

This is a welcome development. Islam was built on Knowledge and not hearsay dogmatism. The first word revealed by God to Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) was "Iqra (Read!)".

In a famous Hadith narrated by both Sunni and Shia sources Prophet Muhammad (sa) commanded all Muslims, both male and female, to seek knowledge "even if it is in China!". To the Arabs then, China was the farthest land on Earth. Japan and Korea were not known to Arabs then.

It is one of the evilness of the Saudi-sponsored ideology of Wahhabism to forcefully imposed it thoughts and beliefs on others. That is why we see ISIS and BokoHaram forcefully converting non-Muslims to Islam. Forceful conversation is null and void in Islam as Faith is like Love.

There is this unfortunate trend of Young educated University Graduates of Northern Nigeria leaving the fold of Islam for Atheism. They do this because they have unanswered questions that most of our deformed scholars can not answer.

In this scientific and technological age, telling people that God exist is not enough. You must tell people why God exist. This is important. Suffocation of intellectual discourse is barbaric, primitive and unIslamic.

Sheikh AbdulJabbar Kabara is a Researcher who spend most of his time finding answers to difficult questions. Persecution of Sheikh AbdulJabbar Kabara is against the Rule of Law, unconstitutional and stand condemned.

The illegal hostage situation of Sheikh AbdulJabbar Kabara should end. Dialogue and debate is the only civilize way to resolve this issue.
