Salt06: Pastors are too smart to be sheeples. They are just after the money and the respect (which allows many of them to enjoy beautiful women) Remember that sex for grade lecturer at Unilag? He was a pastor. The one at OAU nko? He was also a pastor. That is why a full church does not mean anything. After all, narrow is the way that leads to life, and only a few find it. 1 Like |

jesusjnr2020:Stop quoting scriptures out of context. Read through those scriptures again with the eye of the spirit and you will know it was not quoted against mega church, after all Jesus was always preaching to the multitudes and it doesn't make him fake even though Pharisees like you in Jesus days called Him fake partly because of the multitudes. Lastly let me as you "is it attending small church that will take you to heaven"? 2 Likes 1 Share |

jesusjnr2020: Hello sir, please your assertion here is scripturally unfounded. Church IS about numbers! Who told you it isn't? Didn't Christ command us to go into ALL THE WORLD and preach the gospel to EVERY CREATURE and AS MANY that believes will be saved? Mark 16:15-16 Sir the heartbeat of the Father is for ALL MEN to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4 You know what that means? It means that if on a Sunday morning and there's not a single soul roaming the streets but every single person is seated in a church and hearing God's word, that pleases the Father so much because that is his will, and we know it is his will because we see it in his word. God bless 1 Like |

DesignAndBuild:It's scripturally unfounded to you because you're still too spiritually blind to be able to see it. If it was about numbers, why did Jesus allow many to leave and few to stay? Jesus would have done everything to keep the many even if it's to speak the words of the flesh which profits nothing in Truth as most of your church leaders do today. But He stuck with the Words of the Spirit which God had given to Him, to prove that church was not about numbers but spiritual quality. And what Jesus told His disciples to do was not different from what He Himself was doing Himself, because it's still the same Gospel He preached that made many of His disciples leave that He commanded His disciples to preach not the words of the flesh which I believe is what you can see. So your idea that church is about numbers is of this world not of God, because as Jesus showed, it's spiritual quality first before numbers. God bless. |

Frankaka8: Is never the responsibility of a church a create jobs you are only shifting responsibility from the government and private sector. The church can only assist but they cannot go into manufacturing and business inorder to create jobs, they would lose their vision and purpose. In US and other advanced countries that also have Churches, how many factories where built by Churches? |
Re: Ebenezer 2021: Apostle Suleman's 70k Capacity Church Filled Up by blueAgent(m): 6:37pm On Feb 10, 2021 |
Fixey: The fact remains that jobs were created, although temporarily. Whether it was the next of kin of the top men or not. What I see is a trend where Nigerian youths channel their anger to the wrong direction instead of holding their government and themselves responsible they are blaming the Churches. Am not holding brif for the Churches but my question is if you remove all the Churches in Nigeria today would we have more factories and less unemployment? The answer is No. The core of our problem is lack of creative and entrepreneurial skills not Church. In Nigeria we have resources that are not harnessed due to lack of those skills I mentioned, so how is the Church responsible for that? Before Christianity came to Africa and Nigeria to be precise how many companies and business where existing? The last time I checked the Churches are one of the largest employers of labour in Nigeria, Winners Chapel has over 3000 pastors who are paid by the Church, same with MFM, Redeemed, Assemmblies of God, Catholic, Adventist, I can go on and on. All the challenges in Nigeria are gold mines for those (government and private sector) who have hind sight but instead we seat on our ass and blame the Church. I agree that Nigerians are over religious, but I refuse to believe that it is the reason for our undevelopment. The fact remains that most of the achievements in nigeria, be it companies, brands, industries where created by christains. the question am asking is, what has Atheists done for Nigeria? |

vicardino: That is the very reason Nigeria is backward, A farmer is asking a Civil engineer why he has not built more roads when himself is not farming. The pastors are excelling in there calling, why the dude who is asking them to build factory might even be the one whose calling is to build the said factory but he is failing |

Frankaka8: That's were you fail. The bitter truth is Africans and black do not have that mindset and skills you say the West have. If all the African countries turn to Atheism today they will still remain the poorest nations on Earth. Absence of Religeon or Christainity would not turn all the Africans to Mark Zukerberg or Jeff Bezo. The Irony is that creativity Science, entrepreneurship and the mindset you mentioned can only come through Education, and funny Christianity gave Africans that. |

Frankaka8: Is he suppose to leave teaching the word of God and venture into the challenges of how to manufacture let say cellphones inorder to create jobs for you? If he as a man of God is expected to do that, what is then expected of you? Are you not suppose to have a feasibility study of an idea ready which we can all look at and present to the church for assistance? If you don't have one then you are a hypocrite. |
Re: Ebenezer 2021: Apostle Suleman's 70k Capacity Church Filled Up by Fixey: 7:02pm On Feb 10, 2021 |
blueAgent: Now you're getting it wrong completely. I'm not joining the league of those criticising the church. . Trust me I've been at the foundation of the building of many ministries before they became what they are today My dear. If you can stack up 36 billion to spend on concrete, you can do better with the human development capacity of those under your watch Jesus said himself. You don't take the meat of the children and cast before the dogs Not one block would remain upon each other and the human soul holds greater value If there's a pastor just one on earth who would go to sleep when their child is on death bed and say funds in the church is for building projects and let the child die, please mention the name of such a pastor. Albeit the spiritual children are left to this fate deliberately. I know what I know first hand and I'm certain of my Intel. The rationale between the ease to construct 10 billion and not to stretch the hand for just little lies a sick motive. I'll keep it in my stomach. Not everything should be talked about If you know you won't take care of the sheep when your ministry blows, don't use their time, skills and resources to share tracts, play songs, perform free ministrations all in the name of service and when they have needs they are thrown to the streets. Does it make sense to you. People would serve for 5 to 10 years and never make a request once, but when they fall into trouble, the so called Shepherd they worship plays the ostrich Even Jesus Himself said the wolves sees the enemy coming and runs. But the true Shepherd lays his life for the sheep. If there's a single pastor. I'm equally a minister and qualify to be on the pulpit so I'm qualified to speak without hate, envy or negative energy, if there's one pastor who can say to the child on sick bed all the funds in church account is for building projects and leave the children in such state, mention the name of such a pastor |

In US their are thousands of Churches but no one is complaining that US unemployment is becos of too many Churches that is becos in every society there is division of labour ,you cannot blame the failure of a failed and useless government and private sector on Churches. |
Re: Ebenezer 2021: Apostle Suleman's 70k Capacity Church Filled Up by Fixey: 7:07pm On Feb 10, 2021 |
blueAgent: That's not the poibt I'm not saying church open industry pay workers salary A family served in your ministry for years serving and they fall into sudden need. What is expected is the church to be a shield from the storm. The instances are clear all through out scriptures I know people who had died though active serving members but human care and love was not as good as they portrayed. Stop mixing things up. I'm also a pastor. And will be on the pulpit anytime from next year I won't build my church while my loyal members are dying and in need. I won't. I won't say we did this for 20 billion and we can organise a social welfare system for the people. Please and please in the names you mentioned in the past five years if there are any setting up proper welfare for its members please tell me Wanna know one good Christian doing it right Go and investigate Kaffy. Ordinary dancer turned Christian using dance got gave her to to do things right. Not even a fully endowed minister oh. And we're being on the defensive of rubbish People members die from illness that wouldn't have been if there was adequate welfare for the members. What's the need for the billions if it's not for the people. Why the quickness to spend 10 billion on cement but to let money drip into lives of members directly na war. Have you ever thought that there was an underlying motive? Reason it. |
Re: Ebenezer 2021: Apostle Suleman's 70k Capacity Church Filled Up by blueAgent(m): 7:09pm On Feb 10, 2021 |
Fixey: I agree with you, that's why in my previous quote I said both should be prioritized. I think a building of 36billion is way too excessive, We must also commend Churches when they do well. I know of Churches that have free School ,hospitals , rehabilitate prostitutes and armed robbers and lots of other things they do Here in Nigeria. My argument is that most people behind this movement hate Christianity and they are hiding behind this kind of argument to ridicule christianity. |

blueAgent: I'm a minister. My dear. I'm over 2 decades in training. It is wrong People are dying under that watch. Forget the crowd you see on Sunday the devil is attacking heavily and we must be on the look out for lives Christianity is to serve not to be served. Check scriptures Jesus said it. I don't care if a church spends 100 Trillion and takes care of his needy. But to spend 100 Trillion and leave the needy to the devil is my cry There's a deliberate attempt to leave keep under attack when the church has greater capacity to do more. This is my stance in the kingdom. I won't tolerate the hypocrisy. I won't expose what the Lord reveals to me ad their motive. It's all wrong and it's not condemning or faulting the church but we must do things right. |

A person beats drum for you week in week out for years runs into accommodation problem you can't get him a common space to stay, Church office you let him use you kicked him out There are hundreds of such scenarios and we say we're practicing faith. I don't want to be a part of such nonsense. Tomorrow we'll be quoting building ten million churches when there's internal rottiness everywhere. God forbid hypocrisy |

jesusjnr2020:Inferring that a ministry is false cos it has large crowds And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. Salt06: He didn't infer that in its entirety. I read through that comment. The quality must be on par with the quantity. Many ministries are quantity obsessed and by extension do not raise effectively spiritually developed and mature people. The consequence of these is the quality of persons you see around you even during interactions. Their convictions, resolve, resolutions, deeds, principles, morale, work ethic all derives energy from the spiritual training passed across I've been I a church and a demon possesses lady with multiple demons was brought. The entire church to ministers ran away. The same lady came to me, and started to tell stories and crack joke. This was continously over sessions for days Know why I could when others fled...? One word... Quality. CC Jesusjnr2020 1 Like |
