The strategy is to disarm southerners so that they would not be able to defend themselves against fulani herdsmen.

Mr Buhari, start from the North where there are millions of illegal arms in circulation if you want to be taken seriously. This man should be stopped before he starts armed revolts in Nigeria. It's getting to that level gradually.

Having a tribal bigot as the President of any nation is truly a tragedy !

If he is serious he should start from his Fulani brothers. every Fulani man has more than two sophisticated arms they use not for protection but for killing and maiming people. but the bigoted Buhari we know will like to use this opportunity to harass and disarm the southern and middle belt so as to clear way for his terrorist Fulani brothers to strike

And bandits too. Lol

Nonsense government.

Hope he will enforce not just in saner south and middle belt but also in haywire areas like katsina,Kaduna, bauchi, gombe, kebbi, etc etc where their reasoning pattern is still crude and rudimentary.

Just so you can send the military and police after them and kill them cheaply. Fulani's herdmen bearing firearms for many years but he had no grudge with that, but now that other tribes are picking up some weapons of size he wants to go tough on firearms, this man hypocrisy stinks to high heaven. ESN should watch out, they might be the primary target on this. Useless bigot tongue

Buhari is merely playing to the gallery.

A mere political stunt!

Where has he been all this while?

Buhari is a coldblooded jihadist, a cunning fellow who outwardly appears meek but a diehard evil master strategist.

Talk, they say, is cheap.

He must begin with his bloodsucking brothers if he is truly sincere and wants to be taken seriously.

Enough of the abacradabra!

You are not serious. As if Fulani's are the only people bearing arms illegally. what about those armed robbers and kidnappers in your villages, districts and LGCs. What about those vigilantes who uses arms to pretend to be guiding the communities and in turn uses the same arms to robbed?
stopped been sentimental, illegal possession of arms is criminal irrespective of tribe, religion, race or creed.
My question is? was there no crimes in our societies before the new found scapegoats(the Fulani herdsmen) surfaces?

They should start the arresst from gun wielding Fulani's first.
Others will willingly summit if Fulani's are disarmed.

For those saying ranching is the way forward. If u own a land will u sell to Fulani's?Even if they offer u twice the price of the land for ranching?Or Knowing how troublesome and territorial they are will u allow ur governor sell land to them for ranching?

I don't see the ranching of a tin working for Fulani's down south. It can work up north.
More than enough land in the north for ranching

Is cattle rearing not a private business?
Re: Buhari Orders Arrest, Prosecution Of Illegal Arms Bearers by Tochj(m): 9:25am On Feb 10, 2021
So southerners should give out our scarce land to the Fulani.
A cow is sold for 100k and above.
And it is a private business o.
So cattle owners should survive at our own expense.
Now a poultry farmer provide feeds for his bird.
Even though a bird is sold for as low as 1k
This is cheating.

Is it the "President" or the "Presidency" that spoke on TV? Is Femi Adesina the President? Is there any position like "the Presidency" in the constitution? Why is it that it is always "the Presidency" that talks to the people instead of the "President". If the "President" occasionally comes out and speaks to his people (I don't mean read scripts to his people o!), and the supposed "Presidency" speaks, we can understand. But where the "Presidency" always speaks, then there are several questions in need of answers!!!
Re: Buhari Orders Arrest, Prosecution Of Illegal Arms Bearers by KosiGee(m): 9:32am On Feb 10, 2021
Lack of sincerity is evident here. Hausa/Fulani led government has shown time and time again that they can’t be trusted when it comes to de-arming or impartial in the illegal use of arms.

Their sponsored mercenaries kill, pillage and cause misery to other ethnic groups with the Army and police colluding with them...when the table turns, that’s when they become proactive in disarming people.

Some years ago, Igbos were attacked in the north...Zaria precisely..some apprentice boys ran to the motor parks to hide but we’re caught and the mob beat them to death. Some other Igbo people lost their lives. Lots of Igbos live around Hospital road, Sabon gari at the time...many families would run to the Army depot a few hundred metres from there. When they came back, there properties were looted and burnt.

Some of the Igbos acquired guns...The Hausa/Fulani had then always started and blown out of proportion little arguments and used that to start their normal fights and ethnic cleansing, a term I’d use here...There was an Anglican Church, I think it was called St. Michaels. Some of the local trouble makers had a habit of coming inside the church compound to park cars and when confronted by church security, they started fights, smashing windscreens, throwing rocks and chanting alla Akbar and before you know it, groups of almajiris had mobilised chasing and killing Igbos...

A relative and s group had acquired pump action shot guns...They mobilised immediately, about 15 of them...They saw the group coming to cause their usual mayhem...shots were released in the air, but these boys kept coming...shots were fired at them...the Igbos were there ready for whatever...The Almajiris scattered, and were chased down the streets. It wasn’t a very good day but lots of lives were saved at hospital road.

Next day, police and army from the Nigeria Army depot we’re all over the place searching properties for arms.

Lots of Igbos left Zaria and Kaduna state after that. Most of those who were involved in that and who lost relatives and their means of livelihood relocated and I know most of them who will swear and support Nnamdi Kanu no matter what he says on air today. It took them years to build their lives back and some had become pro Biafra and doesn’t criticise MNK. That’s where we differ but I don’t blame them.

Point I’m making is that the Nigeria security have never been fair. They fold their hands when Hausa/Fulani kill and destroy others but come to their rescue when the victims of their attacks mobilise and fight back.

We want peace, proliferation of arms must be checked. No particular group has monopoly of violence and it wouldn’t take much for this to happen.

Federal government should check the excesses of the Fulanis, let’s start from there. Why must they be carrying assault weapons? The police and army know these people and the source of their weapons.
