The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to be a patriot and statesman by building national strategic infrastructures such as railway lines, bridges, roads and other assets within Nigeria.

HURIWA said Buhari should use Nigerian funds to build assets for Nigeria rather than building for other countries that will never benefit Nigerians.

The rights group was reacting to the building of railway lines to Maradi, Niger Republic.

Buhari had on Tuesday flagged off the $1.9bn railway lines connecting Nigeria to the Niger Republic.

However, the group faulted Buhari for wasting public funds on building a rail line connecting Nigeria to the Niger Republic when the Southern part of the country has no functional rail lines.

The rights group gave the advice in a statement by its National Coordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf.

I wonder why they are doing this.
We do not have good rail structure within, it is outside we are developing structures.

God help us

They’re doing this simply because they can! Their boldness has been fed and strengthened by the kind of slavish, greedy and self-serving elite we have in the south who are ready to bend over backwards to be in Buharis’ good books!

Imagine...they’re yet to start any rail construction in the south-east and south-south, yet he has the temerity to launch one connecting his Daura to his relatives village in Niger Republic!

To make matters worse, he expects the children of Ndigbo and those of other ethnicities in the east to help pay for this crass display of parochialism and selfishness!

Watch as this project is finished in record time....both this and the multi-billion dollar AKKgas pipeline that sucks gas from Alaigbo to his arid region!

They have evil agenda, Buhari want to connect with his fellow foolanis in niger republic, so that even when this country divide there will still be business between the north and niger republic.
