And that law was just imported verbatim from our lord's and masters because...? Until I see a scientifically justified reason for setting the age of 18 as the age of majority, I'm not convinced. No one can deny that most 12 year olds these days know and engage in acts that no 21 year old could conceive of in the 1970s; when the age of majority was first set as 18. I personally think it's high time that the age of majority was reduced to 13 or 14 just as it was reduced from 21 to 18 in the 70s. 18 just no longer makes sense. Either morally, ethically or scientifically (actually, it never made sense scientifically).
