It was economic sanctions by the west that made Zimbabwe economy weak and it was intentional as a revenge for Mugabe snatching the lands from the whites and handing over the farms to Africans.

Libya ain't better, but it was bad under Ghaddafi. Very opressive regime...yes he was anti-imperialist, but he was very opressive too.

Anti-imperalisim does not automatically mean good leader. Jacob Zuma of South Africa is a well known revolutionary. He suffered under Arphateid, and then he got into power, and started looting...

The west like to instigate people against a government that refuse to do their exploitative bidding, they will watch out and be ready to accuse you of killing women and children.but will turn a blind eye as agatu, odi,Zaki biam ,Biafra, Rwanda goes on.

Biafra was backed by France, Portugal, South Africa, and codedly by the US. They lost because they had their ability to get resupplied cut off.
Rwanda was neglected by the West yes, but consider it was after the Somalia debacle. The US in particular was not interested in fighting another war. Besides, there were all sorts of peacekeepers...some of whom were massacared by Hutu extremists.

Plus, Rwanda's crisis was the fault of the Rwandans.....

Same with Odi, Agatu, etc....what did the rest of us Nigerians do about it? Must we wait for the West to come and do good things for us? We all kept quiet..to our shame.

Now Libya is a organ harvesting Haven for European hospitals courtesy of Obama and Hillary.

And what are Libyans doing about it? Germany and Japan were wastelands after world war 2. Didn't the Germans and Japanese wake up and rebuild their country? Why not Libya? Libyans are responsible for the mess in Libya....and until they stop fighting over power and start fighitng for the national interest...they will suffer.

It was economic sanctions by the west that made Zimbabwe economy weak and it was intentional as a revenge for Mugabe snatching the lands from the whites and handing over the farms to Africans.
You really have to see through the whites
[/quote]

LOL....Mugabe was and is responsible for Zim's economic crisis.

Zim's earner of forex was the produce of the white farms. And Mugabe took those white farms and handed them over to balck formers, and in the process destroyed his nation's source of forex.

It would be like Buhari saying that we should destroy all the oil rigs and oil wells by handing them over to people who cannot work them well at all...

And once the source of forex was gone...so goes the currency. Inflation set in, and the result was Zim collapsed. Forget foreign sanctions...which China is bypassing even in Zim.

Yes, the white farms should have been in black hands, but what Mugabe did was destroy his country's financial stability for political support...just because he was on the verge of losing power.

Plus, you sack white farms, you make it difficult for loans on those farms to be paid back, you wipe out the salaries of a lot of farmworkers..and by extension wipe out a section of taxpayer income...and you expect your economy to recover like that...

So the non African colonial whites teach us.

Perhaps our African leaders should strive to emulate more benevolent white leaders like King Leopold II of the Belgian Congo,

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atrocities_in_the_Congo_Free_State

The French Marshal Bugeaud of Algeria

Or the German Lothar Von Trotha in Namibia

...amongst thousands of other race centred genocidal white leaders. I'll leave you to research it yourself.

Compared to all these white people, Idi Amin was a saint.

So Idi Amin should have followed their example, shey?

So, because of the Herero massacare, which was vicious, and other massacares past and present...Idi Amin's massacares are okay?

Look, Idi Amin was a brutal murderer...he even committed state sanctioned pogroms against people from certain tribes....he even organsied a secret poplice that makes our DSS look like kind and wonderful people....and saying that does not mean I am toadying to the whites, or denying my black heritage. Idi Amin was like those murderers you have listed...and like those murderers he got away with it....totally. No punsihment, nothing...comfy retirement in Saudi, only issue was that they won't let him get buried at home (unlike his rival Obote...who by the way has his own list of issues..and the painful thing was that Obote got a second chance, and blew it totally).

And the book I read on Idi Amin was not written by whites...it was written by Kenyan authors...Lust to Kill (hard to get now, )....and it gave a detailed account of his murders.

Just because you shout 'Down with colonialism' does not mean you should get a free pass.

-Ok. Congratulations. I wonder whether Yoruba language is rich in colour distinction and describes “Black” as the perfect adjective for yuroba skin colour.

-I use chocolate Brown to describe my skin colour. Thank you, for asking.

-Yuroba People are quite dark though, unlike us Igbos (on the average). Reminds me of what I read about how “light-skinned” people were attacked in Western Nigeria during the “operation wettie”, prior to the start of the civil war. Apparently, they were attacked for the possibility they could be from the East, due to their “light-skinned” colour.

Stop parroting what Oyinbo tell you about yourselves

The first book I read about Idi Amin was written by Kenyan authors..
It was called Lust to Kill, and came out shortly after his outser.
And let's be frank, Idi Amin was a very brutal leader. Yes, he was anti-western, but being anti-western does not make one a nice and good leader.(just as being a pro-western leader like Mobutu of Zaire makes one a good leader. Mobutu was evil by the way)
Plus, his downfall came about because 1) he invaded Tanzania...which happened to be run by Julius Nyerere then..and Nyerere was no pro-western toady before you start...and the Tanzanians chased his army back to Uganda and drove him out of power.
2) The Uganda Amry was in a mess by the time he was overhtrown, because Amin had so riven the army by repeated purges and such like...that it was in no position to fight the organsied tanzanians.(many of the Ugandan officer corps had been decimated by bloddy purges that rivaled anything by Stalin and Hitler..only they were done by tribal means)

There are other books about AMin by African writers....one of them was by his health minister who had to flee the country when his life was in danger too.

Stalin was no nice guy.

Look, you people have to stop this idea that opposing America means automatically you are a good person. Stalin was a very harsh and toxic ruler.

So harsh he was that he was denounced by his own party some 3 years after his death.

It does not make the US look good by comparison, the US has its own share of nasty leaders....but Stalin too was very very harsh. Millions died under his harsh rule and under his harsh economic polices.

They are the least qualified set of people to judge him is my point.

All leaders have to make choices about eliminating dissidents and saboteurs. Idi Amin may have murdered many, but at least he was doing it with what he believed was the right intentions. The colonials did it for economic gain.

The book you read was allegedly written by Kenyans trained by whites. In reality, the authors did not even use their real names; ostensibly for fear of reprisals. They remain anonymous. We do not really know if they were Kenyan journalists except from their say so. Much of what is heard of Idi Amin is from white condemnation.

I do not expect a free pass, but if you're going to cite atrocities by African leaders, at least quote objective Africans themselves. All your comments on Gaddhafi, Sese Seko, Mugabe et al are practically echoes of the opinions of white "masters", all of whom overlook their own fellow race's atrocities towards the Africans. If our leaders are going to be criticized, I do not expect a white colonial or any of his lackeys to do it.

Idi Amin was a bad leader. And then he went and invaded Tanzania...for what.? Tanzania that was not run by a pro-imperailist leader.

Don't excuse evil because anti-imperialism. He was a bad leader, same as many a bad white leader like Hitler, Stalin, many colonalists and arphateidists.

Infact, the whole purpse of history is so that we don't repeat the evils of the past. If Idi Amin wanted to be a good leader, maybe he should not have killed hundreds of innocent Langis and Acholis on the basis of their tribe...or invaded Tanzania because 'territory'.

Every leader has some element of good or bad. No leader is 100% good or 100% evil. Reserving the title of despots for leaders of one race exclusively is what I object to. Desist from name calling, just point out what they did wrong. Even the two examples of white "despots" you were able to choke up were still those taught to us by our masters, Stalin the communist and Hitler the anti Jewish socialist. The only reason you think these are also despots is because white written textbooks tell you so.

I know for a fact that Idi Amin denied this before he died. So where is the evidence
That film was not just against Idi Amin but black people
How many films have white people made about their own perversions like that?
How many films did they make to denigrate Hitler and all his recorded sexual perversions

Well, reading, watching documentaries, reading.

You have strong opinions based on not much really

So, why don't you go back to Uganda and campaign for Idi Amin to come back and rule Uganda...

How was Idi Amin more brutal that George W Bush or Hosni Mubarak of the Kings of Saudi Arabia?

1.George Bush invaded Iraq and kileld several hundred Iraquis. Bad. (I did not back the invasion of Iraq, not because I liked Saddam, but because the US had no reason to invade that county). Idi Amin invaded Tanzania, (and Kenya breifly)..AND KILLED severalhundered tanzanians, and displaced large numbers. And guess who drove him off and eventually overthrew him...yes, them tanzanians! (And Julius Nyerere hated white colonialists far more than Amin).

2.Hosni Mubarak ran a brutal secret police, and kept his country under a state of emergency. Bad Idi Amin did much of the sdame, and set up a brutal secret police...just like Hosni....

3.Saudi Arabian kings promoted Islamists, as did our man Idi Amin. (And guess who gave Idi Amin safe heaven...that's right them evil Saudis...and that's where he died! Maybe the Sadui kings are good guys now, eh?)

You might not be old enough to remember what happened in Tiananmen Square China

grin(He thinks I am very young...how flattering!)
I am old enough, and it was bad from the Chinese government. I admire china for its good educaiton system...and for its emphasis on technical education and industry...not for its harsh communist rulers.

The only problem Idi Amin and the rest of Africa have is we have no CNN no BBC

We had a lot of African media houses back then....plus CNN was not in existence till 1980...a year after Idi Amin had left power and BBC was only available on radio.
