60TH ANNIVERSARY OF ANSAR-UD-DEEN HIGH SCHOOL!!![

Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Falolu Road, Surulere will celebrate its Sixtieth Anniversary in grand style and exemplary fashion. The commemoration will commence on Friday, February 12th, with a Jumat Thanksgiving service at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Mosque, Ajao Road, Surulere.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen High School was founded in 1961 by the Ansar-Ud-Deen society of Nigeria in line with its mission and hunger to build young Muslim students academically, spiritually, and morally to a level of uprightness, success, and a sense of community.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen High School has an accomplished and rich history that has contributed personalities of great repute that have shone brightly in their chosen field of endeavor both home and abroad. Since its establishment, the prestigious institution has produced a number of exemplary students who have achieved great strides and stellar performance in all areas of endeavor, from academia, corporate establishment, civil and public services, the clergy, sports, culture, and entertainment.

Ansar-Ud-Deen High School has produced notable figures such as Alhaji Nurudeen Bello, Mr. Rasaq Eletu, Henry Nwosu, and the Late Mr. Pat Okpomo, Nduka Ugbade Nigeria’s U16 World Cup-winning captain, Prof. Habeeblahi Kehinde Tijani led LUTH's first successful kidney transplant.

The chairman of the 60th-anniversary planning committee Alhaji Ebiti enjoined everyone associated with this great beacon of excellence to come together and ensure that this is an epoch-making anniversary celebration, is memorable, and reverberates throughout the society.
Alhaji Ebiti also stated “Ansar-Ud-Deen High School has done great things for us. Over the years, we have been giving back individually and collectively. This time around, it is a milestone, our Diamond Jubilee. I call on us all to join in this as best we can, for a memorable commemoration.

According to the President Ansar-Ud-Deen Old Students Association (AHOSA), Mr. Rafiu Williams, the commemoration will be marked with a wide range of activities that will include: Donation visit to charities, Roll of honor & Legacy tree planting, Fitness walk & vital health check, a Train trip from Lagos to Ibadan & picnic at IITA, A documentary of the history of the great school, A book cataloging the rich heritage of the Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Falolu. The president also noted that activities will be scaled down and staged responsibly, and embedded with robust COVID-19 compliant health and safety regime, monitored by a team of health/medical experts.
All members of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Old Students Association (AHOSA) Home and in the diaspora, the stakeholders, and current students of Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Surulere, and the general public are hereby advised to take precautions and join us across all platforms in celebrating this Diamond Jubilee milestone of our beloved alma mater.
