Actually, Jonathan is a formidable candidate, if he chooses to contest. Buhari's infamous show has unwittingly projected GEJ as a massive lighthouse. That's why APC are coming to try to lure him. They know they don't have any other candidate that's as credible as GEJ.

The only reason why GEJ should stay off APC and avoid contesting now is to let his legacy of peace sink. If he would contest again, it should be when Nigeria is saner.

Besides, APC trying to buy him over to retain their sit is rather disrespectful to GEJ. They are seeing him as a means to an end. Jonathan knows this, and wouldn't oblige them.
