Young Entrepreneur Addresses Youth on Better Future
• Bemoans the tragedy of the Nigerian youth
Rebecca Ejifoma
A young entrepreneur and political analyst, Atinshola Oludare, has expressed worries over the state of the Nigerian youth, as he sued for genuine change to secure a better future.

Oludare made this clarion call in a media briefing in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, where he bemoaned the current situation of the average Nigerian youth.

“When I look at a Nigerian youth, the tragedy faced by these young people becomes clearer on every encounter. The Nigerian youth has continued to survive in a country that holds no future for them, but the question is, for how long?”

Oludare bemoaned that the average Nigerian youth are always in a battle to know themselves; “Prof. Patrick Lumumba, addressing the state of mind of a Nigerian and an Africa youth, said ‘They are suffering from schizophrenia; they do not know themselves'.”

While outlining that the Nigerian youth has always been encouraged to believe in the nation, the entrepreneur said it is time for genuine change.

Despite the change mantra of the current administration, Oludare claimed that after over 24 months, the average Nigerian youth is still faced with the same problem and is yet to witness any change.

“Today, the youth are encouraged to be the agent of change, but they remained discouraged with offers like a job of N30,000 monthly salary,” he emphasised.

He further decried how the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on strike for about a year, thereby, delaying the future of several youth. Oludare reminded the leaders, however, that these students are the average Nigerian youth.

“Nigerian youth have been stripped of their dignity. It is obvious, they are tired, hungry, and hopeless. Nigerian youths, it is time for change,” he charged.
