An average Nigerian is a criminal, fiat. Those crying are mostly worst once given the opportunity to serve. Example PMB cried, GEJ had no shoe's, OBJ came from a humble home, IBB was from grass to grace. Aguiyu Ironsi was from nobody to somebody, the list is endless.

Sometimes when I read news from the Nigerian government, I feel there is absolutely no future, no hope,

Lagos state mounted CCTV cameras all around Lagos a few years back. Today, those are either vandalized or stolen.

A country where man-hole covers on roads are stolen by scrap metal pickers, even street lighting poles are hacked off and sold as scrap, what then makes them -decision makers in government - think that these cameras, the solar panels and battery won't be stolen?

What use are these cameras when the response time to the scene of incident is in hours or none at all?

Let's do the fundamentals first... Build up the police force, improve the 112 or emergency response time. Improve the judiciary. Make justice available to the average joe. Enact laws that are people friendly.
Just do the basics

Constable officers recently recruited for community policing are now manning roads to control traffic. That's not why they were recruited. Since they are not armed, they should be operating within the community to gather Intel for the police to enforce, play support to the main police body

When cows rule a nation this are the kind of nonsense you hear. Which power will the camera use? What underground pipe with cables run? So they want to draw wire jaga jaga like Nitel?

These mumus feel they can fool everybody. How many CCTV do they want to install between Lagos and Ibadan express way to start with, not to talk of the whole interstateroad network in Nigeria?

My estate is secure with my drone... Mini sizes two of them. We have armed them to move .they are positioned at d front and the back of d compound. Them no born thieves well to enter, even for night without notice. They even have infra night vision installed so no need to activate lightening, so e go move in darkness as bird. Once robbers, kidnapper cultists e.t.c enter, omo non leaves alive. Before Dem even reach varendeh front or back, bullets go hit em up

How will this help when there is no data on Nigerians. The thieves caught on camera in bank robberies, have they caught them? How come they have hope of catching fulani herdsmen kidnappers who don't even have id card or international passports. These idiots want to syphon another money in the name of installing CCTVs.

Fulani federal government, why not just set up the CCTV, begin to use it, and arrest the bad guys.
No, you first want to publicize and notify the criminals before you even come around to overcoming your corrupt bureaucracy, and activating the cameras.
Let's us know if you ever do.

Another drain pipe. The security personnel knows who the kidnappers are. They work together. Just mount check points in those areas where the attacks happen frequently. They should also start fishing out the bad eggs amongst the security personnel.
