Will Elearning Change The Era Of Traditional Schooling by sharmaniti437: 1:31pm On Feb 17, 2021
We are living in a technological era, where innovation and digitalization have broken all the barriers that were halting the accessibility to education across the world. With the help of e-learning, education is no longer bounded by physical proximity needs. Online learning has made it possible for students to experience personalized education by giving them a choice to learn at their own pace, a a place convenient to them, on a comparatively cheaper basis than the traditional schooling system.

But the BIG question here is - despite all the obvious advantages that eLearning and online education are auguring, does it have the potential to replace the traditional schooling system?

Moreover, will a virtual education landscape be able to fulfill all the learning & communication needs of the students more than a physical one?

Here, we will answer all these critical concerns of the educational community and forecast how the future of education will look like.

What makes eLearning stand out as an alternative?

Gone are the times when eLearning was only limited to a few subjects and a selected audience. eLearning has come to receive acceptance in the mainstream.

Most of modern educators, universities, and colleges are already involved in eLearning to expand their reach and share their courses with a wide range of audiences. Students and universities are no longer dependent on uni-dimensional, brick-and-mortar sources of learning.

Instead, education management through eLearning has provided the students an opportunity to embrace and utilize online education so that they can easily simplify and contextualize the learning cycle.

The global eLearning market is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 9.1% & is expected to reach $336.98 billion by 2026. (Research and Marketing Report)

Over the past few years, there's been significant growth in the global eLearning industry and online education, which can be attributed to the benefits it brings to the table.

● Flexibility to learn at your own pace
● Affordable tuition fees
● Personalized learning environment
● Access to learning straight from the subject matter experts
● Resource scalability
● Traceable results

Even after all the proven benefits of online learning, it will hardly be able to eliminate the traditional education system since it can't provide real-time training and mentoring to the students.
Roadblocks in eLearning

Some major concerns have been put by the educators who believe that online education, which is more of a self-driven learning process, may not be able to provide accurate assistance and regular feedback.

Despite the convenience and low-cost teaching sessions that eLearning offers, there are still many structural disadvantages like -

● Lack of instructor-learner interaction
● The uncertainty of the authenticity of a student's understanding
● Lack of classmates
● Absence of constructive and frequent feedback
● Assessments are mostly knowledge or theory-based and lack practicality
● Lack of motivation
● Constant online interaction may not be good for the student's health

In the end, eLearning comes down to the training and communication factor, keeping the intellectual upliftment, effective education management, and interactive skill development of the students aside. This may be the central reason why online education may not be able to replace the traditional education system.

But does that mean there's no scope of progress and innovation for the traditional system?

Let's get to the point…

The swift expansion of online education and the emergence of miscellaneous eLearning sources has undoubtedly put forward a challenge against the traditional educational community. The traditional educational model must be transformed to meet the increasing demands of the new-age students. To prevent the conventional model of education from falling apart, educators must begin with innovating and reforming the methodologies and institutional design.

About 20 years ago e-Learning was an experimental area dealing with almost technical topics. Since then, the industry has flourished with new lifestyles, knowledge, skills and new prospects for communication. Educators around the world use e-learning tools like school management software, coaching class management software , online test generator and principles to share courses with interested audiences. Regardless of budget or bureaucratic considerations, almost all modern educational institutions of the 2010s have already used e-learning in their daily work or want to do so. Doesn't it look too good to be true?

Is this a sign of the collapse of the traditional school empire? E-Learning seems to have a great influence on the pillars of modern society, the basic structure of personal development from infancy.

How does e-learning fit this paradigm? Can virtual courses replace existing classes? Will it? Let's take a look at what advanced learners and teachers have to say about the subject.
E-Learning seems to be a soft option, assuming that all learners have equal access to technology software like question paper generator , online teaching software ,online examination software and provide a comfortable working environment. However, the education community raises at least two important issue
Motivation: Students need challenge and recognition for their achievements. Instructors are a key element in motivating learners in work or college courses.
Feedback: Frequent feedback from instructors maintains the learning process. Effective evaluation and evaluation of results is part of the game, and another important factor is the ability to analyze an individual's performance.
In summary, most experts argue that direct instructor-learner interaction is still important in the learning process. Indeed, self-directed e-learning is irreplaceable in schools, but certain features of traditional classrooms that are available online will greatly improve the learning process. We also take into account and elaborate both motivational and feedback features across all major learning management systems, so you can engage as much as possible in situations where there is no direct interaction through technology
