The proccess of application for university admission varies from depending on the country and there is no perfect formula for getting admission into the university of your choice. Nonetheless, there are some general rules you must follow and tips that can guide you in gaining admission.

Choose your program
First, make a decision on where(desired country) you wish to study abroad and in which level and area of study you’re interested and have the all the academic backings neccessary to enable you qualify. Consider your career prospects and then decide on an area of specialization. Choose a program that is in line with your goals and try to choose a highly ranked university and one that has a great reputation for your desired subject, or one that meets other criteria that are relevant to you.

Read the requirements and deadlines carefully
The next step for applying to an institution abroad is checking the requirements. If the you don't understand the information on the website or you are not convinced enough, seek for more information from the institution. If you are doubtful about the acceptance of your nationality for student visas in the country, you can also try visiting official government websites and study councils. It is important to pay attention to the deadlines to ensure you don’t miss the admission or entrance exam deadlines.

Write a motivation letter
A motivation letter is required for Applying for certain fields of study or schools. The motivation letter or cover letter should highlight your ability to perform excellently at the proposed school, the evaluation of your skills should also be included, as well as your accomplishments. So your interest in studying at the university should be expressed in a clean and well structured motivation letter, and remember to use clear English when writing the letter.
