New ride emerges in Port Harcourt as wheelbarrow becomes means of transportation.


Commuters’ have given in to a new ride, being pushed on carts and wheelbarrows in Okoro -Nu - Odu (Rumuokoro ) flyover area of Port Harcourt.


Following the continued closure of the Okoro -Nu - Odu (Rumuokoro ) flyover in Port Harcourt weeks after its completion , commuters now resort to being pushed on carts and wheelbarrows for as much as N100 .
This is because of the over 1 km distance that is open for trekking only . So if you feel weak and can ' t walk , some hustlers ( mostly Northerners) are available to ride you on their wheelbarrows for N50 and N100 , depending on how far they ferry you.
It will interest you to note that the flyover has been completed since early January 2021 , but remains closed from motorists as it has not yet been commissioned by Governor Wike.
