2- TOPIC: SOWING GOOD SEEDS
BIBLE VERSE: Galatians 6: 7
“Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
We live in a society where people think they can get away with anything. How else do you explain an unrepentant behavior of youths concerning fraud and prostitution? It is a well known thing that those who cut corners to travel to Europe end up being mercilessly burnt by the Sahara sun. Some are turned into slaves in Libya and heavily maltreated, yet people continue to save up for this evil trip to Europe.
Whatever you sow is what you will harvest. This Biblical instruction is simple and clear. So it is advisable to sow good seeds, so that in due time things will turn out well for us.
Sow seeds of hard work. Sow seeds of honesty. Sow seeds of peace. Sow seeds of kindness. Sow seeds of diligence. Sow seeds of patience. There are so many good seeds that we can determine to sow everyday!
You can decide to sow a seed of a smile. Sounds funny right? When you make others feel better, you’re sowing a seed. For the laughter that your good heart produces, that is a blessing! A seed of constant frowning would produce the fruit of loneliness because people will mostly avoid you!
Sowing good seeds should be intentional and consistent for easy harvest. Don’t sow a good seed on Monday and a bad seed on Wednesday. You will confuse the soil of your harvest. If you have decided to sow good seeds, then do it all the way. Sowing bad seeds are hazardous. There is no divine blessing for bad seeds, only destruction.
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to sow good seeds only today! Amen.
