The constant kidnapping of school children in the north will have serious consequences for the region in the future as aboki will not want to go to school anymore thereby compounding the pervasive illiteracy in that region.

Good development, but the Governors should be careful with this trend.

You should know better boss.

All the girls were released and not rescued.

So the kidnappers kidnapped them on friday and changed their minds and released them on sunday?

Common bros!

These kidnapping dramas are making Buhari and Nigeria look stupid. What is wrong with Bubu now? He need to stop all these nonsense once and for all or resign as is applicable in reasonable societies.

That is the trend now.? Kidnap school children, get some of your comrades in arms released as well as some bundles of cash to celebrate their release. For the children, they are finely dressed to meet with the governor and enjoy a few hours of limelight and stakeholders smile home with heavy logistics. Ah this is Nigeria.

Now that they are released, why not storm the military into the bandits hideouts and wipe them off. Must they wait for another attack?

I dey jealous Bandits now. Enough cash out going on in the North.

Before next week another set of students will be kidnapped and payment made by Northern govt for arms purchase.

This Northern empowerment scheme has some underlying plan. I hope by the time south will wake up, we won't be over ran by highly sophisticated jihadi Bandits that North are nuturing and supporting with ransom from all these fake kidnapping.

These happenings are not ordinary.

"A good business man must know how to read the signs of times" says a wiseman

These unfortunate and cascading trend of events points to certain directions, two directions, 1. the government is scared of the bandits whom we understand are mercenaries, or 2. there is a grand plan to use these as a smokescreen for something more sinister to come.

If with all the resources at the President's disposal he cannot safeguard lives and properties, then there is certain doom courting the nation. Even the governors with alarming security votes, we should be seriously worried.

I just read the following post by someone from somewhere about Nigeria.

The President was informed.

The information got to him at 11:00pm on that fateful day.

He placed a call to the Deputy Governor of the State and told him tersely "... if by 10am the next morning, your sons in the Niger Delta do not release the hostages, grass shall not grow in that Region for the remaining part of my four years Presidency.. "

The deputy Governor went into the creeks that night to negotiate the release of the hostages.

They were released at 9:00am the next day.

They were Italians, British and French.

That President was Olusegun Obasanjo.

That deputy Governor was Goodluck Jonathan.

His boss, Gov. Diepreye Solomon Peters Alamieyesiegha was not in the country.

The State is Bayelsa State.

Power is called Power because it dictates strong leadership, and purposeful direction.

Not what is going on at this PMB's Government?

No strong leadership and political will...

Just leadership by press statements.
And they deceived us with this words 'He is a retired general,he will lead from the front' only to saddle the nation with a lame duck.
Such a shame

I hope this is the last time kidnappers will ever be allowed to stroll into a school premises and kidnap hundreds of students. Government across board must now muster the political will to deal with these criminals.

Enough of playing ethnic and religious politics with this banditry issue. These guys are well known in the north. Smoke them out from the forest and bring down the full weight of the military on them without sentiments or any other considerations.

D question is why is d govt reluctant to do d needful despite d obvious points u raised?

Oga, why are u wicked? If they storm d bandits "hideouts" (which isn't a hideout because d govt knows where they are), who will carry out d next kidnapping?
