There were more than 5,900 proposals made by committee members last year

　　Guo Weimin said that in the past year, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference has increased its efforts to negotiate and discuss politics. During the year, 23 important political consultation activities were held, 80 inspections and investigations were organized, more than 7,500 pieces of CPPCC information were submitted, and more than 5,900 proposals were submitted by committee members. The work of handling proposals has also been further increased, and good results have been achieved.

　　“If there is a major issue, there will be the work of the CPPCC, and you will see the members of the CPPCC.” Guo Weimin also introduced that the 13th CPPCC has strengthened network discussion and remote negotiation, and the combination of online and offline has become a new highlight. The CPPCC has also established 47 reading groups for CPPCC members and 4 reading groups for local CPPCC members on the committee’s mobile performance platform, with more than 140,000 exchanges and speeches. The committee members said that as long as you turn on your mobile phone, you can "open your books and discuss politics without stopping."

　　Carrying out international friendly exchanges is also an important function and work of the CPPCC National Committee. Guo Weimin introduced that up to now, the CPPCC has developed friendly exchanges with 337 organizations and institutions in 157 countries and 15 international and regional organizations.
