OBASANJO FAILED TO RESTRUCTURE NIGERIA IN 1976-1979 PERIOD while he was serving as a military head of state after his then Boss, Late General Murtala Mohammed was assassinated in an early morning coup detat led by Late Lt. Col Buka Suka Dimka of the Nigeria army.

With restructuring in place he could have set Nigeria on a better foundation for economic growth and development that would have benefited all the regions in Nigeria.

Today states governors are going to Abuja to beg for money to develop their state due to the lopsided federalism the military established for Nigeria.

Perhaps he never envisioned what his people the yoruba in the south west and other southerners and middlebelt people are presently facing in the hand of the core northern leaders.

Secondly, he had his eyes on Niger delta crude oil which was comfortable sharing to lazy states establish by various military government.

Today, south west, south south, south east and middlebelt is under fulani threat with fulani headsmen from many west african countries supported by their Nigerian accomplice from the north are seizing the forest of these regions where they perpetuate all forms of criminalities.

Their ultimate objectives is to establish CATTLE COLONIES or RUGA SETTLEMENT in southern and middle belt region of Nigeria grabbing the lands and water of the indigenous people or native people.

Many minorities in northern states such as southern Kaduna are being slaughtered because of their ethnicity and religious belief.

PRESIDENT BUHARI now rules a bitterly divided country.
Bandits and kidnappers have taken over control of most of the states in the north west and Boko Haram is still getting stronger in the battles for control in the north east.

Buhari appointments which is lopsided in nature is now largely made up of people from the core north.

Obasanjo should share some of the blames for what Nigeria is going through because he created the avenue with which the north gained strength and confidence to perpetuate all the unconstitutional things that have set Nigeria backward.

The opportunity the NORTHERN RULYING CLASS is using to oppress the southern part of Nigeria and the middlebelt region was given to them by General Olusegun Obasanjo as military leader and as an elected civilian President.

He was not sensitive enough to think fast and change things so quickly.

However, I still give Obasanjo kudos for giving states the right to control their lands away from the control of central government.

This Obasanjo did by establishing the LAND USE DECREE ACT OF 1978.

Saw him some days back at his Green Legacy hotel taking an evening walk trailed by some security backup. Fact remains that despite his good intentions,these guys are criminals!
