EPILEPSY is defined as a group of disorders of central nervous system (CNS) characterized by paroxysmal cerebral dyshythmia, manifesting as brief episodes (seizures) of loss or disturbances of consciousness with or without characteristics body movement (convulsion) sensory or psychiatric phenomena.

Anyone can develop epilepsy that affects both males and females not minding their races, backgrounds and ages. Having a single seizure does not mean you have an EPILEPSY. Two unprovoked seizures are generally required for the diagnosed of an EPILEPSY.
