Rucking in Nigeria has long been a popular pastime for many tourists from around the world who are on their way to witness the idyllic beauty of this African nation. While it may not be exactly traditional, the act of rucking and other related sports are very much alive and well in Nigeria. Tourists can experience the thrill of a friendly ruckus by joining a local ruckling club or a training session organized by a sports apparel company. This sport is not just a hobby, but also an important part of life in many communities all over Nigeria. It offers a unique chance to socialize, interact with others and learn more about their culture.

Rucking in Nigeria has become a sport that is loved by all ages and has even made its way into the classroom as students seek to improve their athletic abilities. The most commonly used equipment is an oaken stick, which is attached to the backside of a participant's jeans. While this is the standard accessory, people have come up with more innovative ways to enhance the fun and excitement of their rucking sessions. Some of the latest features include:

- Inspired by the West African tradition of "Rucksacking", a group of youths in Lagos have taken it upon themselves to create and produce ultra comfortable and durable rucksacks for casual wear and sportswear. These boots are designed with comfort and durability in mind. The uppers are padded with breathable material, while the heel counter is placed high on the sole of the boot to provide a solid grip on the ground. The thickest part of the sole is placed under the uppers to protect the wearer's toes and ankles from the abrasions of the rucksack.

- The thick uppers are fastened with metallic buckles that are secured with Velcro. Another innovation that these companies have come up with is the inclusion of a pocket at the back of the boots. It is here that items such as flashlights, cell phones, water bottles and other accessories can be accommodated. These innovations, coupled with the company's signature logo "Bumpy" give the Rucksack an extra sense of personality.

- Rucking in Nigeria is not complete without the addition of accessories. The most popular being Rucksacks. These cool looking boots have rhinestone studs to provide the Rucksack a more edgy and futuristic look.

These are but some of the unique items that the market has introduced to the world of rucking. Rucking in Nigeria is a long standing tradition that continues to evolve and prosper. With new innovations surfacing every now and then, we are sure to see the once all-out bantering between the aborigines and the westerners coming back to haunt us through these innovative boots.
