A shariah judge has nothing to do with the position of the head of the judicial branch of a circular state... I thought all along that this is too obvious to argue about..

Oga,the constitution recognize sharia law and also states that the composition of the apex court will be in such a way that judges from various branches of law including sharia arw there sir.read your constitution

If Mary Odili is the only person on the bench, Buhari will still not appoint her CJN preferring open vacuum. He is that Nepotic!

As far as I'm concerned, she should never have been appointed in the first place, because she has a clear conflict of interest with her husband being a prominent politician.

Why
He has less than two years to go. They rather pick an Igbo who was born post-1960.

Ariwoola will be CJN when all the present Justices will retire except Inyang Okoro (1959), Tijjani Abubakar (1960).

Again, Agbo is from Enugu like Centus Nweze.

I agree
Is Bulkachuwa's husband, not a politician?
Is Eberechi's husband not a politician?
Was Amina Augie not married to a politician, before his demise?
What about Nwosu-Iheme?
Ajumogobia, Nyako, etc!

Rhodes-Vivour's nephew contested for Senate in 2019 under the PDP, should his Uncle have left his seat at the Supreme Court because of that?

These are people who have joined the Judiciary even before they got married to their spouses. This stereotype is wrong.

True, they won't pick him.they will likely pick from anambra or abia.but again, buhari might still pick agbo or an easterner who has few years left to make sure the east doesn't produce cjn.

When will agim, oseji and ogunwumiju retire

That is exactly what he would do......but this is the time those in front can make some sacrifices by refusing to ascend.

When will agim, oseji and ogunwumiju retire
Tijjani Abubakar and Agim were born in the same month and year (April, 1960)..Agim is 26th, Tijjani is 15th...Tijjani is his Senior in position, and from Yobe (NE)...you see the game.

Other things been equal...Ariwoola will leave for Kekere-Ekun and then Inyang Okoro and then Tijjani Abubakar.

Oseji leaves in 2024. Ogunwumiju has about 4/5 years left.

No one from the east will make such sacrifice. Tijani will not spend more than two years..I think the next nominee from north central will have up to 15 years left..
