8 Things I Wish I Knew Sooner

1. Be Grateful.

The benefits of gratitude are backed by science. It improves your well-being.

Gratitude shifts the mind from "I need" "I don't have enough of" to "I'm so happy" "I have enough."

The effort to change this mindset is minimal. But the difference is monumental.

2. Everything starts in the mind.

All you have control over is your mind.

By learning to master the mind, you'll master your life and realise a power far greater than anything outside yourself.

3. Failure is a positive.

We’re taught from a young age that failure is a negative.

After all, you did something, and it wasn't successful.

However, you should see each failure as a valuable opportunity for growth.

A chance to grow that will inevitably lead to success.

4. Time is precious.

Our time is finite.

However, most of us live contradictory to that.

We waste years at jobs we hate.

Stay with people we're not entirely happy to be with.

Tolerate situations that don't make us feel fulfilled

Remind yourself that time is precious.

5. Be Present.

The ability to quietly be with yourself and be aware of what is occurring around you is a skill you have to work hard on.

It will improve the quality of your mind.

To be in the moment is a powerful experience full of benefits.

Please take advantage of it.

6. Apply Your Lessons.

There’s very little connection between gathering knowledge and achievement.

You need to make an effort to apply what you learn actively.

Study the information, put it into practice, and teach others your example of creating success in your life.

7. Protect Your Time.

Leaders tend to be great at prioritising what is most important to them.

Reflect on what you spend your time doing and make the necessary changes to realize the life of your dreams.

8. Happiness Is Not Material.

The pursuit and purchase of physical possessions will never fully satisfy our desire for happiness.

It may result in temporary joy for some, but the happiness found in buying a new item rarely lasts longer than a few days.
