Our leaders in the south west act like nostradamus. When we were agitating for state policing system, you guys kicked against it, you always thought the move was an attempt to break up. Any northerner reading this piece get this. If there's any region who's more interested in this union, that region or tribe is the south west. The best use of pump action shotguns is for people to keep in their homes for self defense or for hunting, something that was possible to do legally before Buhari's election.

These guns are useless at long-range shooting.

This is a very dangerous move even though it may be with good intentions, other state are definitely going to do same to the various quasi security outfits establish in their domains eventually sending Nigeria towards an unpredictable slide,it would be much better to either restructure the police breaking them into specialized unit n equip them adequately or simply approve the establishment of State Police like osibanjo has advocated for a long time now.
