Though he looted funds, but he performed better than all the governors after him. He did a lot of infrastructural development and through him many people became wealthy which had a positive impact in the life of a lot of people. Its unfortunate the state lacks progressive leadership. A lot of greedy/self centred politicians are in the majority in Delta state and the whole oil producing states at large.

besides, Delta govt has never admitted their exgovs stole as they are partners in stealing. Uduaghan once said fed govt should refund d money. But they were reminded that they once claimed ibotri didn't steal from govt

The money should not be given to the Delta state government because the same looter (James Ibori) controls all of them in government, including the governor.

Instead they can set up a fund whereby the money would be given as grants to Delta State indigenes, entrepreneurs and masses. If the money is returned to the state government, it will still end up in ibori's pocket because he controls even the state governor.

All these grammar on money that Buhari nd his goons will reloot. They re already salivating.

Buhari said Abacha never stole.

The money has not been returned. It will be paid to Delta when returned

Na Delta state money, las las, it will still finds its way back into Ibori's pocket. Ibori is still the God father of politics in delta state

Buhari federal government will claim possession of the returned loot.

I do not think the federal government will release the money to the Delta state government.

BUHARI WITH HIS DICTATORIAL BEHAVIOUR WILL FEDERALISE THE MONEY AND USE IT TO DEVELOP THE NORTH.

I'm here, what's new? How many times would I tell you I'm not a pdp fan? If you ask me? APC=PDP. The difference is just the name. Have you forgotten same guy and his boy Uduaghan wanted to join the apc a couple of years back? I was even thinking he's joined them already. The, money if repatriated would go a long way in executing some viable projects, provided it won't be looted as usual, all in the name of award of inflated contracts.

I may not know much about the politics of economics
But can't this money be used completely to service Nigeria's foreign debt
So we'll have a clean slate?
We borrow too much and owe too much in the Nigerian government
Whereas the government services and maintains the very expensive lifestyles of its officials, contracts and top public and civil servants

Sad
Just pathetic

Also I want to wonder how long it took Ibori to loot this much?
Think about it, as at 1999 - 2007 how much was the federal allocation, 13% derivation, IGR and royalties from oil companies that got into the coffers of the government that he was able to do some things in the state, pay salaries, build a university for himself and pay bursaries?

Also sad is the fact that worse looters have arisen since Ibori left government till today

Abacha looted Nigeria, Ibori looted Delta State, likewise all ex governors and present serving governors, all past presidents looted Nigeria but were compassionate to allow the poor masses see means of survival through some financial friendly policies, Buhari looted and is still looting till date without any atom of compassion to allow the poor masses see any means of survival, it's only the late Yar Adua of blessed memories that stand out as a good man and for that may God continue grant his Gentle Soul Eternal Repose.
tot:
Abacha and Ibori both looted the heck out of this country. Never ending loots always being returned.

Disgraceful thieves.
