President Mohammadu Buhari will today perform the ground breaking ceremony to flag off the construction of Eastern railway corridor (PH-Maiduguri rail way). The Port Harcourt to Maiduguri rail starts from Bonny, with a deep seaport approved by the President already but handled by a private firm, and then a rail line from Bonny to Port Harcourt, connecting the whole states in South East (Aba-Umuahia-Awka-Abakaliki-Enugu) to Makurdi – Lafia – Jos – Kafanchan – Bauchi – Gombe – Damaturu and Maiduguri, with a spur from Port Harcourt to Owerri. https://www.774ngr.com/2021/03/09/buhari-to-flag-off-construction-of-ph-maiduguri-rail-way/
