Good news for Ondo people. Honestly, I think something like this should be replicated in Lagos too. Lagos NURTW workers are too scary for peoples liking, their behaviour when they are demanding for unlawful money from the drivers is so pathetic, you will think they are doing the drivers favor. The way they even threaten them you will think they are the owner of Lagos road. If given the opportunity to rule my state (Lagos) for just one month, my first agenda is to completely scrap that nonsense union forever and ever. They should go and buy keke and bus and be driving like every other drivers too. Even a primary school and secondary school drop out are now regarded as NURTW worker. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Person, I believe this a good step in the right direction. He shouldn't reinstate them until he has rebranded the whole institution. One problem with the NURTW in south west is that it's run by illiterates who have no regards for civility. They only know how to drink all sorts of alcohol and sleep around with women. The institution adds only little value to the customers (passengers) and it's members (drivers). They don't check cars to see if they're fit to move on the road. They don't give car maintenance loans to their members. They don't do projects in the parks. They only extort their members. Hopefully, if civilized folks are put in charge of their decision and administration they won't end being worse than the illiterates they were meant to replace. 7 Likes |
