PDP has got 52 of the 83 senatorial seats at present(the senate is only 85% complete at present). They have got majority in the house of Reps with likelihood of further increasing as the elections go on. Many of the areas where PDP lost the NASS to win LP and ACN in the south east, south west and northcentral will vote for jonathan on saturday.
The south west has never been a force on the national level and the only president from there OBJ was handed that position inspite of the southwest not voting him.
SO I STATE MY CASE NOW, GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN WILL BE PRESIDENT COME NEXT MONDAY EVEN IF THE WHOLE OF THE SOUTHWEST VOTES AGAINST HIM. ACN IS NOT A MAJOR FORCE IN NIGERIA'S POLITY. ALL IT IS IS A SECTIONAL PARTY FOR 18% OF NIGERIA'S POPULATION.

I support GEJ but you are wrong on this one!
GEJ needs the support of every Nigerian. He also needs a minimum of 25% in 2/3 of the states. The SW is supposed to provide a huge part of that. SW is and has always been a force to reckon with. Don't be carried away by your emotions. Relax.

To be very blunt. . . you cannot win an election in Nigeria if two of the three largest ethnic groups in the country are voting against you. GEJ flopping in SW = losing to Buhari

While reading this thread, Tinubu would prolly be laughing his way to Abuja in the presidential jet if he chooses to take GEJ up on his offer.

GEJ will need votes from the S/W in favour of him instead of against him to ensure the Landslide Victory we expect.

Probably the poster has been away from Nigeria for three or more decades. 

@op , you are correct but i think GEJ would like to be universally accepted and not just voted in by a section of the populace.

Whether we like to admit it or not, Mr. President is a big shift from what we have been seeing all this while interms of attitude towards the nation hood.

From his commitment to free and fair polls, his decency in his campaigns both during the primaries and the main elections, his simplicity in leadership has warmed our hearts and has given us hope.

So many of us who had lost hope in the Nigerian project, today believes that something good is coming ahead. Let us all join hands to make Nigeria great. Vote Jonathan as President.
