MejiLoyon:Point of correction; Catfishes don't burrow into soil/mud. Only lung fishes does that. The fish in the pix above is a catfish. |

chatinent: I think I have because on closer look I now discovered it looks like the one they call Bendel fish. Anytime I cook with that fish, my pot of soup doesnt last. So sweeeet?... It's expensive though. |

In Sokoto state,I buy this fish every time. I buy the whole fish which is always smoked, and seasoned with pepper, onions,salts, salad and other condiments. They are even bigger than the one showed by the op. Sometimes I get it for N1500 or even N1200 from the mammy market of the barracks at kwanawa. |
