The remaining students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation (FCFM), Afaka in the Mando area of Kaduna State, have been evacuated to the 1 Division Garrison Command of the Nigerian Army in Ribadu Cantonment.

Daily Trust had reported how armed men broke into the school and abducted some students.

A military source told Daily Trust that but for the efforts of personnel of the Nigerian Air Force and troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army Headquarters, Kaduna, the attack would have been worse.

The source, who did not want to be named, said some students were rescued during the attack but the kidnappers made away with an unconfirmed number of students.

ASP Mohammed Jalige, Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, had earlier confirmed the incident to Daily Trust but said the number of abducted students was unknown.

“We have no details of the number of students,” he had told our correspondent, adding that the Police were working with the Nigerian Army to trace the kidnappers and rescue the students.

Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, said investigation is ongoing.

Either ways they are in captivity.
Captured by Bandits and captured by military is the same. If they like let them use big grammar like "moved to military Compton or cantonment" na still the same thing.
Captured na captured. Either ways you dey in captivity of Aboki men with AK-47

With assistance from the government, the bandits are gradually fine-tuning their business model.

They have come to realize that in the business of banditry and kidnapping, female students are easier to subdue, generate more public outrage, thus providing more revenue.

it's so disheartening that North has refuse to take precautions rather they focused all their energy on south. lol. Put road block in each ten kilometers in each northern state, they refuse rather they're doing so in southern part of the country because they have their eyes glued on the natural resources in South.

This is just a shame. The North needs to wake up and act. A region that most desperately needs education cannot afford to have students being kidnapped on a weekly basis.

I never understand wetin dey sup for this country with all these kidnapping and killings in the northern part of Nigeria first.

Some say the government are currently trying to reduce the population of the north

Some say these bandits are Boko haram in disguise and have the same aim

Others say they're trying to islamize the country

While the remaining ones are saying these bandits are fulanis imported into the country by buhari in 2015 during election.

Which one pesi wan believe again!

Las las dis country don tire me iswerugad

What is all this going on in my dear country

Effects of corruption & nepotism. Its true that give average Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba & Igbo power they will think of themselves as gods. If you entrust them with state resources they will turn it to their private bank account. To them God is for us all while every man is to himself.

May be they will be the last kidnapped students according to GMB. This is close to Div 1 Hqtrs if you know KD very well, may be they did not come with AK-47.

It has gotten to a point where I don't give a fvck. They should kidnap on daily basis.

Somehow they've succeeded in reforming the name terrorist to bandits so we are all good.
