Have you ever felt yourself going into a negative thought chain? Do you feel like you just can’t help yourself when you dwell on negative thoughts? You should note that, those negative thoughts try to hijack your mood and leave you feeling bad.

Negative thoughts are the worst when you already got something difficult or challenging. It makes you feel worst. Most times, we all have negative thoughts that can come up, but what do we do when they come up? How do we stop those negative thoughts from making an uncomfortable situation even worst?

The most important thing to do is to ask yourself, Is it worth it?

If your mind is fixated on a certain situation, ask yourself, is it actually worth the time? According to Niels Eek, “ask yourself if looking over a certain situation will help you accept it, learn from it and find closure”. Actually, the fact that such situation is not helping you move forward, is not motivating you to take productive action and is not helping you to come up with healthy solutions to a problem, then, it is actually not worth it.
