The generation were mostly slugger who believes in walking down their opponents. They mostly end with injuries

His fight with Hitman hearns is said to be the greatest three rounds of boxing. It felt like watching a rocky movie and both boxer's threw caution to the wind.

His last fight - with Sugar Ray was also great as well.

Sugar Ray did not rate John The Beast Mugabi and he said that he was shocked to see Mugabi "out box" Hagler. That gave him the confidence that he could beat Hagler.
