HEAD OF OPERATIONS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Head of Operations performs various function which entails directing the daily operations of the retail chain business in order to maximize profit and minimize costs, visit the retail locations to evaluate sales performance and customer satisfaction level:
 Ensure proper staffing in all our stores by liaising with the Head HR/Admin
 Carrys out assessments to estimate the requirements of each retail store in order to facilitate provision of needed resources.
 Conduct inventory analysis to determine optimal stock levels and determine the need for stock supply at each retail outlet
 Visit retail locations to evaluate sales performance and customer satisfaction level.
 Oversee the merchandising of products across retail outlets.
 Liaise with Inventory & Store Managers to set up a visually appealing layout for store merchandise.
 Analyze operational expenses and cost of inventory to identify losses and develop strategy for increased profits.
 Communicate with Warehouse/Logistics Managers and other retail staff to update them on recent developments, such as price change or any relevant information.
 Address and resolve customer complaints.
 Oversee the preparation and distribution of promotion materials and flyers.
 Monitor the customer service of all retail outlets to ensure their services meet and exceed the expectation of customers.
 Contact store managers and other retail staff to communicate relevant information
 Mentor and motivate sales staff to put in their best in order to achieve financial goals
 Ensure compliance with health/safety policies and procedures at retail sites
 Evaluate operational and financial records to determine sales performance of a retail store.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must meet the following requirements
 Minimum of 6 years work experience in a retail chain business.
 B.Sc or HND in a related field such as Business Administration or in a similar field.
 Experience in retail sales and customer service is also required for this position.
 Good Organizational Skills
 Accounting Skills: To be versed in reviewing and evaluating sales records and financial statements.
 Professional qualification will be an advantage
