It is only natural that when you have all the resources or more to offer, you would want to take control of it.(Brexit)
So if you had more to offer, you wouldn't be worried about what SE wana restructure. You would be a frontier of their exit!

OH MY AFRICA!
I have asked this question to almost every igbo restructuring agitator, once u ask them they start beating around the bush...

I ask u this right now what does south east want to restructure u can't still answer.

If you must know the only thing keeping south east in Nigeria is not resources or anything, it's just the fact that we the true Nigerians know other regions are seating back watching u fool around once the east goes west will want to go too.

Apart from that, if not for that reason Nigeria would have let u hv ur BIAFRA

This whole Aburi thing is a very simple thing to understand, for those who want to understand. There was a coup, counter-coup, pogrom and strife.

Gowon and Ojukwu, met in Aburi, Ghana, to find a way foward. Ojukwu proposed a number of measures that would create a loose federation(confederation). Gowon accepted and signed the agreement.

When they returned to Nigeria, Gowon and his Northern cohorts realised that the agreement would deprive them of what they wanted the most, the political and economic control of Nigeria.

So Gowon started undermining the agreement and culminated in Gowon enacting Decree 14 of 1967, which dissolved all 4 Regions, created 12 states, took away resource control and removed fiscal federalism. It was the worst Decree in the history of Nigeria.

With the Aburi agreement completely thrashed, Ojukwu had only two choices, accept Nigeria according to the dictates of the North or fight for freedom

Ojukwu did what any Igbo man with any sense of dignity would do. He refused that neither him nor his people would become willing slaves of the North, declared Biafra and fought for freedom for 3 years

It did not work out but but nobody can blame Ojukwu for trying.

Aburi was the last hope of Nigeria, when it failed, Nigeria failed, courtesy of Gowon and his Northern cohorts

Those who arrested and sentenced Isaac Adaka Boro to death for declaring Niger Delta Republic were neither Hausa-Fulanis nor Yorubas but two supposed brothers of his and Biafrans named Odumegwu Ojukwu and Aguiyi Ironsi who were still on the side of Gambaris and still trying to please them as at then. For declaring Niger-Delta Republic Ironsi, the then military head of state, ordered Ojukwu to get Isaac Boro arrested for treason.
Ojukwu, in an attempt to please Gambaris, fought Isaac Boro for 14 days within which he used federal might of “one-Nigeria” to kill 150 soldiers loyal to Isaac Boro, caught Isaac Boro, stripped him naked and sent him over to Lagos where Ironsi charged him to court and within just 2 months got him convicted, at the Supreme Court, of treasonable felony of trying to break away from Azikiwe’s one Nigeria, got him sentenced to death by hanging. While Ironsi and Ojukwu did all that to Isaac Boro, they left untouched their own Igbo brother soldiers who planned a coup with which they killed Innocent Hausas, Yorubas, Niger Deltans, Middle belters leaving Igbo politicians unharmed despite they, like Zik and Okpara, were part and parcel of the corrupt Balewa government.
However, before Ojukwu and Ironsi could execute their sentence on Isaac Boro God intervened and the counter coup happened. Ironsi was overthrown and killed. Gowon took over declared Isaac Boro innocent and released him. But just fifteen months later Ojukwu too declared Biafra Republic due to the way Igbos were being killed in the North. In declaring Biafra, rather than first apologise to Isaac Boro for what he earlier did to him and then ask for his cooperation in fighting to realize the Biafra dream, Ojukwu did nothing like that but without consulting Boro at all went as far as arrogantly including in his Biafra map the very Niger Delta areas which Isaac Boro earlier tried to pull out of Nigeria and which he (Ojukwu) nearly killed him for.
This angered Isaac Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa who both pledged support for Gowon in order to teach Ojukwu a bitter lesson for his arrogance and dishonesty. That was why Isaac Boro and Saro Wiwa fought on the side of Gowon during the war. Naturally Isaac Boro couldn’t have come out of prison to join the Ojukwu who jailed him and fight against the Gowon who released him. It would have been absurd. No rational human being does that.
This is the truth of what happened and which Igbos hate to hear but prefer to blame everyone else as if they themselves were 100℅ innocent.
Igbos must learn to say the truth because if the Biafra/Niger Delta Republic they now seek is founded on lies and deliberate falsehood, like Nigeria, it will not stand but will soon become a failed state like Nigeria. We can’t leave Nigeria for another Nigeria.
But we however know that Igbos allergy to truth is incurable, therefore Niger-Delta states will never be part of Biafra
Interesting write up and I think I believe you. But honestly let's keep prejudice aside, we need a new country. Nigeria has become a faded dream.

and later i came and said let me rape ur mother....instead of just saying no....u prefer to call ur gate man to do the rape ....cos u are angry i didnt let u rape her at first.
this seem logical to u
that Isaac and Ken couldnt use that same time to redeclare niger delta republic since they had their reasons to declear at first
so what changed that they now thought it was best to put the niger delta with nigeria to spite ojukwu

u see how dumb our niger delta leaders can be
and how dumb of u to justify what they did to their people just because they are angry

What Asiodu never told you, or the rest of Nigeria, is that Gowon took back that "97%" on the 27th of May 1967 when he enacted Decree 14 which dissolved all 4 Regions, replaced them with 12 states, took away resource control and fiscal federalism.

That was the final straw that broke the camels back and made Ojukwu to declare Biafra three days later

Truth is Light

Gen Alabi Isama was the one who saved the Life of the Biafran Soldier that killed Boro after he was Captured

Many Federal Soldier's were ready to Finish him off immediately despite him being a Prisoner of War

Alabi Isama had to send the Biafran Soldier who killed Adaka Boro to be detained in Lagos for his own safety
He would not have Survived detention by the 3MCDO troops in the East
