Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) have resoluted to charge customers using Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) service a flat fee of N6.98 for each transaction.

In a released joint statement by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday, March 16, the new charges is to replace the current per billing structure.

Nigeria's Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, chaired a meeting of key stakeholders to discuss an amicable resolution in the interest of the public.
