Tinubu returned some of the missionary schools in Lagos in around year 2000. It was insinuated that he reach agreement with Christian missionaries before 1999 election.

After the return of some of the missionary schools, muslim students took their protest to government secretariat in Alausa, the Governor attended to them was reported to have asked is it right not to honour agreement? They replied no. And that was how the case was settled.

If the Christians want back the mission schools Kwara state, it is a different case with different approach. It is wrong for them to tell government how run schools under its total control.

According to Kwara state law, the state recognizes government and private schools only. You can call your provate school what ever name you want but you can not refer to government school as missionary school.
