See the shocking moment a massive 40-feet tanker fell off a trailer and landed on several cars parked by the roadside in Lagos. Check out photos here!

Parking your car by the roadside is not really a crime in many public places but it could expose you to unforeseen accidents sometimes. Yes, a typical example played out recently in Lagos when a massive tanker fell off the back of a trailer and landed on several cars that were parked by the roadside. Media reports claim that the tanker literally destroyed all of the vehicles it landed on.

This was the shocking moment a huge tanker fell off the back of a trailer and landed on several cars parked by the roadside in Lagos

According to press reports, the incident occurred on Monday, March 15 at Barracks Bus-stop near the Trade Fair area of Lagos-Badagry expressway. LASEMA reports claimed that the 40-feet tanker (container) fell on a total of 3 vehicles and 1 tricycle (Keke NAPEP) that were parked by the roadside. The vehicles and their respective plate numbers are listed as follows:

Toyota Yaris (Black colour) with registration number LSR 247 GP
Honda CRV (Grey colour) with registration number LND 80 BS
SUZUKI Minibus (Ash colour) with registration number KSF 904 XY
TVS Tricycle (Green colour) with registration number AGL 831 QL

LASEMA says it is still carrying out a further investigation but already confirmed that the incident was mainly caused by the recklessness of the trailer driver. He was said to have driven the trailer recklessly hence, caused the container (tanker) to lose balance and eventually fell on the cars that were parked by the roadside. Luckily, no life was lost to this incident and no human suffered injuries from the incident.

In other news, the Government of Lagos state has reportedly started demolishing distressed buildings across several parts of the state while also clearing out “illegal” areas where people park their cars. Below is a press video which gives more details about this report.
