THE Christian Association of Nigeria on Wednesday called on the Federal Government and the Inspector-General of Police to intervene in the violence in Kwara State over the hijab policy.

CAN which expressed the views in a statement by its General Secretary, Joseph Daramola, advised Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to give peace chance.

Students in some Mission schools in the state had clashed over the wearing of hijab as part of their schools’ uniforms.

But Daramola said, “We learnt that the state government has ordered the reopening of the closed schools without resolving the crisis and consequently, churches and mission schools are being vandalised with impunity by the hoodlums banking on the state government’s support in the pretext of enforcing the policy.

“Some innocent Christians are being violently abused and attacked under the watch of the governor who is playing ostrich. The Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, should be held responsible if the matter degenerates because it was his pronouncement on the issue of hijab wearing in violation of the court directive on the matter to maintain status quo until the matter is finally resolved by the court that led to this trouble.

“It is disheartening and unfortunate that a government that was installed democratically will become insensitive to the plight and the yearning of the people as if the governor was voted into the office primarily to protect his own religion. This is unfair, ungodly and reprehensible.

“There are public schools and schools that belong to some Islamic organisations where those who wanted to be wearing hijab can be attending without causing the ongoing needless crisis rocking the state.

“CAN once again calls on Governor Abdulrazaq to give peace a chance in the state by ordering his hoodlums to stop attacking mission schools and churches in Kwara State before the situation degenerates into an unprecedented religious crisis.

“We also call on the Federal Government and the Inspector-General of Police to ask the Kwara State Government to respect the rule of law in order to avoid a chaotic situation.”

Baptist Conference kicks

Meanwhile, the Kwara State Baptist Conference on Wednesday gave an insight into the attack on Christians at First Baptist Church in Surulere, Ilorin by Muslim fundamentalists, saying they mobilised themselves and touts in large numbers to carry out the attack.

The President, Kwara Baptist Conference, Dr. Victor Dada, said these in a statement obtained by journalists in Abuja titled, ‘Kwara Hijab crisis in Mission Schools Update’.

He said, “Despite the case in the Supreme Court and the stay of execution obtained by proprietors of mission school, the government announced the use of Hijab and reopening of the schools today (Wednesday).

“Christians, who were today at First Baptist Church Surulere, Ilorin on peaceful demonstration with drums and trumpets, came under serious attack by Muslim fundamentalists who mobilised themselves and touts in large number to attack us.

“They overpowered the police, forcefully removed the gate and sign board of the school and started stoning us for over one hour. Only the gallant resistance of members and eventual security reinforcement saved the church from being burnt.

“More than 20 people (including four pastors) were wounded with three hospitalised. The fundamentalist in the presence of security officials vehemently attempted to burn the church and when repelled, threatened to burn the church either during the day or at night.

“They threw petrol fire to the church gate and vandalised the auditorium. They also went ahead to vandalise The Apostolic Church, Eruda Ilorin, a church without any grant-school.

“We shall not allow hijab in our schools; we will defend our faith and defend our inheritance. We demand that the government should return back our schools.”

Spokesman for the Kwara state Police Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the situation had been brought under control.

He appealed to people to maintain peace and go about their normal business.

The affected schools in the hijab controversy include C&S College, Sabo Oke; St. Anthony College, Offa Road; ECWA School, Oja Iya; Baptist Secondary School, Surulere, and Bishop Smith Secondary School, Agba Dam.

Others are CAC Secondary School, Asa Dam road; St. Barnabas Secondary School, Sabo Oke; St. John School, Maraba; St. Williams Secondary School, Ibrahim Taiwo Isale, and St. James Secondary School, Maraba.

Muslims enforcing what they can never tolerate.
How can you be wearing hijab in a Christian school?
Can a student dress like reverend sister in a Muslim school?
Let's separate religion from politics.
Some crisis are just unnecessary.

The Christian church spends its own hard earned cash to build educational facilities. A thieving govt in her characteristic nature of daylight robbery steal those schools and want to erode their identities in the name of grant...

Harvard collects grants from the US govt. It doesn't make it a public school.

Look at what is happening in the university system too. The church is building powerful universities, instead of Islamic organizations to go borrow their so called non interest loan and build at the rate the Christians are building.

But no, the Christians are now on number 35-40th university, the Muslims are slugging at number 5 or so. Later they would be looking for ways to penetrate.

Before, I felt bad that many Christian universities don't accept Muslims. I see why now.
As an example, in the whole of Kwara, the school with the best infrastructure and conducive environment that would rival a mid range UK school is Landmark University.

But they essentially avoid admiting muslims because they (Muslims) have this very greedy and covetous nature. And if any manages to wriggle through, he would have signed a very exhaustive 300+ paged agreement that would jeopardize any attempt to go to court on any silly case.

Read carefully the story of David hundenyin on how stealing land inheritance of Christians was the foundational problem that led to the rise of sharia law and boko haram in the north.

In his analogy, He said and I quote "the muslim rich man with a 1000 acres of land, marries four wives, gives birth to 15 children. After his death, fifteen children parcel 1000 acres into 15 places.

The Christian man with a 1000 acres marries one wife, births four children. After his death, four children parcel 1000 acres into four places. Now think of those children further passing on land inheritance to their own children and see why the Christians are positioned for wealth and Muslims are positioned for poverty. "

The desire and promise of state govt to take and redistribute Christian land was what led to the call for sharia. Fortunately, it was not a doable thing under the obj govt.

When wike declared rivers state as a Christian state where we're the hypocrite?

Kwara is also a Muslim state, take it or leave it.

This hijab controversy may perhaps snowball into something much more serious, like the END SARS in a short while, as sleepy Buhari looks on.
We've not forgotten how cartoons drawn on paper in Europe led to loss of lives and properties of Christians in Northern Nigeria, not to talk of their signature cloth, that every true muslim is mandated to enforce.
I'm sure our northern "brothers" are currently meeting over this issue and are preparing their aggressive tactics in reaction.
I'll be back to this post later.

Preaching in the bus is no different to marketing. You are free to tell the driver to shut the person up. Or even ask the person to shut up. One thing I'm sure of is they can't beat you up nor would can start releasing statements claiming marginalization.

You are free to take tract or reject it.

Wike's declaration is of no material consequence. The kano that didn't declare is making life intolerable for Christian resident and business men.

Let them market it in a school they built with their own money. And no Christian would complain about that.

Be proud of your bombing and beheading religion and send your children to Islamic schools where they can emulate sheikh Osama bin laden and Imam Shekau.
These are the names of the schools in question and they are all Saint this Saint that

When the time comes the level of education In kwarra state is going to go very low.

Let's examine this carefully. I saw this done in Osun state.

The teachers are lazy.

They hand over the teaching to NYSC.

The corpers go for CDS on Thursdays.

The teachers pretend that Thursday is labour day, when it's not.

On Fridays, the Muslims don't come to school or do not want to learn because it's Friday. So the teachers don't teach because people are not complete and they too will go to mosque.

Meaning that they learn only 3 days out of 5 days in a week.

3 days continuously
